Fall Semester Working closely with the Girls ' Federation Officers, the Fall Semester Boys ' Federation Officers helped to accomplish many worthwhile projects. By working behind the scenes, under close supervision of general chairman Sue Rihm, the Dating Game Con proved to be another success. President Bob Hindin demonstrated his acting ability by helping Pam Mattox, sergeant-at-arms, narrate and set the atmosphere for the con. Slides of an African safari were shown by Mr. Kahle to provide the theme, King of the Jungle at the Dad- Daughter-Son Dessert held Nov. 5. Dressed in red Santa Glaus suits. Boys ' Fed. Officers competed against Girls ' Fed. Officers in the annual Christmas penny drive and later that week Federation Officers presented a mixer. Dan Close Vice-President Bob Hindin President Chris Appleton Fifth Executive Gil Griffiths Treasurer Jim Anderson Secretary Boys Federation Officers Spring Semester After one cancellation the Boys ' Federation presented The Dean Martin Show, their spring semester project. Mike Malone was general chairman for the con, and he was assisted by Larry Pearson, Mike Schnell, Mark Bledsoe, and Andy Frazier, props and publicity committee. Mr. George Pahner, adviser for the Boys ' Fed., said that there were many minor problems but most of them were centered around the lack of talent and the script which had to be rewritten. Laurie Hutchison President Debbie McLaughlin Vice-President Fall Semester Early last summer the Girls ' Federation Fall Officers began planning the annual Big-Little Sister Party that was held August 28. This was the first major activity of the Girls ' Federation and it was soon followed by the Dating Game Con. King of the Jungle, theme of the Dad-Daughter-Son Dessert, was a joint effort between the two federations. They also competed against one another in the Christmas Penny Drive. The money was donated to needy families in Spokane. The last main event sponsored by the Girls ' Federation was the Christmas mixer, Twas a Night Before Christmas. Betsy Keil Secretary Jeanne Herron Treasurer Carolyn Sundberg Historian Pam Mattox Sgt.-at-Arms Girls ' Federation Officers Deborah Wilhams President Ellen Pearson Vice-President Spring Semester Many traditional activities were planned by the Girls ' Federation Spring Semester Officers. The officers planned a money-making project with proceeds going to a school organization. They also organized the Surprise Con held March 24, the Cotton Day Con, and the Mother-Daughter Tea. Active freshmen and sophomore girls modeled spring and summer fashions in the annual Cotton Day Con which signaled the start of the spring season. At the Surprise Con the Lilac Princess was named to represent Lewis and Clark in the Armed Forces Lilac Parade. Mothers were honored by their daughters at the Mother-Daughter Tea which was held after school in the cafeteria.
