February February 11— The typing class under Mr. Baten finished addressing 80,000 envelopes for the Easter Seal Drive for Crippled Chil- dren today. L(] was one of the five higii schools that assisted. Holding the finisht ' d product are: Dick Duffy, Red Zellar, Edy Kulp, and Toni Hawley. February 12— Principal A. L. Parker cele- brated his birthday today with a full page spread in the Review. One of the pictures showed him conferring with student lead- ers, Dave Martin, Mary Chesney, Larry Chestnut, Mary Kaye and Cathy Robey. February 18— Final elections of the 12A class were held this morning. Maurice Hood was elected president. Counting the ballots are: Mr. Perring, adviser; Art Hed- lund, Dave Martin, Larry Chestnut, Jim Wilson, and past president, Jim Whitte- more. February 24— The annual Minstrel show given by parents was put on for the students this morning. The entire show was enjoyed bv the audience. February 24— I ' m an Indian Too was one of the most popular acts of the Minstrel show. Evelyn Holdsworth acted the part of the Indian maid. Page nineteen

January January 5— The Twelfth Annual Science Talent search exam was given today. LC students taking the test were: Terry Bate- man, Sam Strickland, Bob Ritchie, Rod Whitefield, Bob Stover, and Mark Follett. Two out of three in the state receiving hon- orable mention were 15ob Stover and Terry Bateman. January 9— Boys ' Fed. sponsored a voca- tional guidance program today. Among the speakers on the varied program was How- ard Frissell, who spoke on law. January 15— Trying out the new mirrors are Bob Ritchie, George Hendershott, and Ger- ald Wood. The new reflectors were installed in the boys ' lavatories today by the ASB. January 21— Journal and Tiger staff held their semi-annual banquet tonight. Suzy Kirkham, Roy McFarland, Don Holsten, John Purchase and Jim Boyd provided en- tertainment. Speeches were given by staff leaders. January 21— Student Court Judges Henry Upton, Marilyn Johnston, and Bob Ritchie held session this morning, as they do every Wednesday. Sally Shaw is bailiff. January 26— The Last of the Mohicans were graduated tonight. Dr. Theron B. Maxson was guest speaker and James Blod- gett, board member, presented the diplomas to the class, which numbered 26. Being graceful in the picture are John Rissler and Lowell Peterson. March 6— Frank Werner, center of the basketball team and the rest of the team, were carried off the court tonight by jubilant LC fans. Lewis and Clark beat Gonzaga 49-48 in an overtime victory. March 12— Checking in early in the morn- ing are a few teachers and inquiring stu- dents.
