November November 5— FHA members celebrated national FHA week by opening the Service room in 220A. Taking their turn at helping are: Margaret Hamilton, Dot Deem, and Donna Leishman. November 14— Football Queen Carol Swanson was crowned tonight by Cap- tain Duane Tye. Maurice Hood was her escort. The princesses and their escorts were: Sharon Blackwell, Wayne Demaray; Nancy Goade, Wayne Spencc; Mary Chesney, Dave Martin; Shirley Bier, Jack Binns. November 20— Two hundred llB ' s at- tended the potluck dinner tonight in the cafeteria. Dick Bech, .serving hi the left picture, introduced the entertain- ment. Larry English, class president, took charge of the dinner. November 26— Top Tiger salesman who sold over 1(X) yearbooks were named today. Jackie Lilienthal was fourth; Nancy Fujita, first; Kay Wendle, third; and Mary Kaye, second. This was the thermometer the staff used to show how many were sold daily. Page sixteen

Dctober October 6— The band played for General Dwight D. Eisenhower today. Many stu- dents saw Ike, who was on his campaign tour. October 14— All-City Horizon clubs gave a style show sponsored by the Girls ' Fed this morning. Models were: Betsy Dregnie; Maggie Krause; Anne MacGillivray; Sally Beil; Nancy Smith; Kathy Stout; and Arlene Morgan, NC. October 17— Yakima high school student leaders were our ASB guests today. They visited our council meeting and several classes. October 17— Adding to the pep and color of the football season was the Ti-Girls ' an- nual color day. Shakers were among the most popular articles sold. October 17— Students gathered at Hart field to watch the Tigers best Yakima, 20-0. Yakima furnished the half-time entertain- ment. Page fifteen

December December 1— Highlight of the Lettermen ' s Banquet tonight was the football film. Pho- tographed as they enjoyed their turkey din- ners were Carl Miller, Frank Werner, Dick Anderson, LeRoy Blick, Bob LaPlante, and Lowell Klatt. December 5— Sally Moss and Wayne Spence were crowned Winter Carnival king and queen tonight. Confetti littered the gym. Everyone enjoyed the fish pond, strength tester, golf, and other booths. December 11— Senior B ' s held their potluck dinner in the cafeteria today. Jim Whitte- more, president, introduced the entertain- ment. In the snapshot Larry Chestnut is watching as Anne St. John, Shirley Bier, Caiol Rometch, Cathy Robey, Bev Achen- bach, and Donna Leishman serve them- selves. December 16— Applauded widely the an- nual Christmas music program was pre- sented this morning. Mr. Fosso directed the choir, glee clubs, starlighters and boys ' quartets in their numbers. Mrs. Bartlett and several students arranged the background scenes. December 18— Shirley Baker, Gary Stein, Darlene Donley, and Barbara Finegold bought popcorn balls at the Ti-Girls pop- corn sale during lunch and before school. They were sticky— but good!
