I saw the vision of the world, and all the wonders that would be. Molds for your future have been set during your years at LCHS. If this book, in some way, will help you to recall the many events and challenges in this 1963-64 school year and the way in which those events have molded your future, the purpose of this yearbook will have been fulfilled. THE PROCEDO STAFF Dedication To Mrs. Francis Jenkins, a dear friend and teacher, who has given us friendship and help Whenever we have needed it. To a Librarian who has been understanding and helpful when we have needed information for reports, and who has been patient in waiting for the return of the books we borrowed. We would like to show our appreciation and admiration for the many things you have done for us that were above and beyond the call of duty, by dedicating this, our 1964 Procedo,to you. You will forever have a special place in our memories. . ,W , , MM V umm I O ' Now that you are graduated from high school, all eyes are turned in your direction. Will you further prepare yourself for one of the many vocations that are offered to you through further training, or has your formal education ended? To you who plan to further your education, may I say to you that you are living in one of the most opportune times since the dawn of civiliz- ation. Everyone in his respective field is begging for those who have properly prepared themselves. You can be just what you want to be, but it will take a lot of hard work. To you who have completed your formal education, we, your teachers, hope that you have better pre- pared yourselves to meet the needs through our efforts. We hope the tools, as limited as they be, do not rust but will ever have a luster from a constant use at your command. Principal - Donald Tarver Wfeceage The value of this book is not really appre- ciated until some years later when it becomes a treasure. Likewise, the value of your ed- ucation is only going to be realized at some future date. Realized in the sense of satis- faction or lack of satisfaction, depending on your attitudes and applications now. It is our sincere hope that both are treasures twenty years from now. Through exchanges we receive up-to-the-minute news from other schools. While we have no class in journalism per se--students volunteer for activity assignments and use their initiative to bring in news which represents their organizations. Some of the skills attained in reporting are curiosity, awareness, promptness, accuracy, attention to detail, use of good English, typing skill, and co operation with others. This year our staff numbers 45 acting in the capa- city of reporters, artists, and production crew. Mrs. Reed is the advisor for WILDCAT WIRES l . W Mrs. Reed, advisor.
