SC-3 DIVISION, more traditionally known as First Division, Is responsible for the ship ' s deck evolutions and topside equipment. The division Is made up of Boatswain ' s Mates ( M) and norvdeslg- noted seamen. They work with the tradi- tional tools of the maritime profession ■ anchor, ropes, wholeboot, pipe, and also with more recent additions to the trade, such as helicopter flight deck gear.
