To become a member of the N.J.H.S., you must main- tain a 3.2 average or higher and must have no citizenship grade lower than an S. The N.J.H.S. has four committees which mem- bers can join. They are: Art, Ways and Means, Program and Service. The members of the N.J.H.S. have special privileges such as attending meetings and assemblies. The members also take part in several fund raisers that the N.J.H.S. sponsors. Ms. Edmonds, one of the new math teach- ers at Lewis, has been the N.J.H.S. advisor for two years. Z 0 0 53

I. S A . , -,.,. an 5 c .,,. t .....,. . Q s- - H bz- - Trends play an important part in our daily lives. Here at Lewis that is especially apparent. One week things are hot, the next they,re not. They can either be just wearing a bracelet or travel- ing halfway around the world. Trends may become passe, but they always seem to come around again. It may be hard to believe, things that were popular when your parents were young probably are popular now. Try and see if that's true. On this page are a few examples of trends that are hot today. When you think of trends, clothes are probably the first thing that comes to mind. Guy's and girl's both especially like the colors and cuts of Guess, Bennetton, Gotcha and Esprit.
