Baseball Strike two! Ball three Y calls the umpire and the pitcher now tries to settle down, only to throw another wild hall. Take your base , says the umpire, and the next player steps up to hat and drives a nice fly accepted hy the right fielder, making a third out. The other team comes to hat. Those playing in ten games and the tournament were awarded 100 points. H ilang My heel hurts. I,et's rest a while. l'm tired. lDon't walk so fast. These and many other expressions were heard as the girls tramped along the highways and hyways on the XVJX.,-X. hiking expeditions. Many interesting hiking jannts were taken this year, the most outstanding of which was the trip up the spiral highway to the numerals where the girls ate their lunch and rested before returning home. To gain their 100 points the girls were recpiired to hike 75 miles the first and third quarters and 50 miles the second quarter.
