STUDENT COUNCIL Presidenl ....... .... B ob Short Secrelary .,... .... D orothy Brugge Vice-Presidenl.. . . ..... Bill Burton Treasurer.. . . ..... jackie Souder Advisor, Mr. Arnold The Student Council has undertaken many projects this year. The first of these was the selling of General Association Tickets. Since a number of dances were included with these tickets, they were the sponsors of many successful dances. For more school spirit, the Student Council sponsored a pep rally and parade in honor of the football team. The seating arrangement for elementary and high school was again made for the use of assem- blies in the auditorium. For the students' benefit, the Student Council had a movie on the National Student Council and a debate as assemblies. As an entirely new project, a Student Government Day was organized in which the Senior Class took charge of the school for a day. Their fourth annual presidential election was held in May with its usual rivalry. The Student Council enjoyed the monthly meetings with the Sussex County Student Council since the president of this organization was its own president, Bob Short, of whom they are very proud.
