9 LEWES BREAKWATER CHAPTER By Willard Elllngsworth Adviser Bryon K Horner This year we have accomplished much work in vocational agrlculture and F F A activities One of our biggest accompllshments was our F F A black face Minstrel held appeared This and our F F A Parent and Son Banquet are very profitable affairs to our chapter They are both annual events We also had the selling of seeds and maga zmes from which we reallzed gratifying sums This year our chapter was represented at the National unlor Vegetable Growers Association Convention at Washington D C by members of our chapter They had an Interesting exhibit on pipe lrrlgatlon Fair Weather Rain They placed very well out of the many states which were judged Another big trip was the one to the Harrisburg Pa Farm Show Many of our members went It was a very educational and interesting trip We have had some members along with our adviser appear on the radlo representing our chapter ln our classes we have studied Dairying and have had experience in testing soil and Judging corn and cattle We have also had training in mechanical drawlng and general shop Officers and members of our chapter are President Howard Mlllman Vice President Charles Baker Secretary Larry Mundy Treasurer George Hopkins Reporter Willard Elllngsworth Sentinel Mervyn Lafferty Other members are Carl Walls Bob Murphy Gerald Tarr Don Lynch lm Brlttmgham Bob Macmtire Carlton Bailey ames Martm Gordon West Bob Doty Walter Bryan Bill Lowe Dace Fitch Howard ackson and lm Dorman 'H A s .3 W, - r 5 , V V K 2 Q . -2 Y' in February.
