Wrestling reaps $2400 profit for prom Forearms smashes, body slams, stomped heads, gouged eyes, and wild screams were a familiar sight as Pro-Wrestling returned to Lew Wallace on February 1,1973. For the second year, blood thirsty fans and innocent curiosity seekers filled the Polk Gym to capacity to witness four action- packed wrestling matches. The excited audi¬ ence watched grown men pleading for mercy, and the fantastics throws, holds, and leaps fulfilled everyone’s desire for action. The first and main event match featured Dick the Bruiser challenging Black Jack Mulligan and Bobby Heenan in the Handi¬ cap Tag Match. The Six-Man Tag Match with Baron Rasch ke, Mitsu Arakowa, and Higo Hamaguchi wrestling against Cowboy Ellis, Billy Red Cloud, and Seaman Thomas was especially popular with the crowd. Weeks of planning and promotion paid off in a big way for the happy seniors who spon¬ sored the show as they netted $2400 for their efforts — enough to finance the prom and post-prom. ▼ 28 — Student Life
