valedictorian Sidney Spector, valedictorian of the class, has the highest index ever at¬ tained at Wallace. His better than straight A average index, 4.3553 was achieved by taking such advanced courses as Advanced Placement History, Math, English and Science. During his Senior year, Sid was a National Merit Scholarship finalist, he received an English award, a chemistry award, a history award and the Bausch-Lomb award. Sid has participated in such after school activities as Biology Club, Radio Club, Boys’ Club, Joe Berg Advanced Study Seminar, B’nai B’rith Youth Organ ization, Latin Club, and Concert Orchestra. He was also on the Fresh¬ man Basketball team. Serving as a Student Council Representative is also among his activities. This fall Sid will attend Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michi¬ gan. He will be attending on a Michigan State Merit Scholarship. His proba¬ ble major will be Pre-law and he hopes to become a lawyer. salutatorian Linda Lesniak ranked second with an index of 4.3230. Throughout her school years at Wallace, she has received many achieve¬ ments including an English award her freshmen and junior year and a math award her junior year. She received a letter of commendation from the Na¬ tional Merit Scholarship Program for her score on the test taken in November ’65. F.T.A., French Club, Inkpots, Junior and Senior Honor Society and the Jr. Prom Committee were some of Linda’s extracurricular activities. She also served as Junior Vice President and Senior President of Girls’ Club. Listed among Linda’s favorites are the song “Monday, Monday”, by the Mamas and the Papas, modern literature, winter dancing, big cities, English clothing and English music. Linda’s future plans include majoring in elementary education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. 28
