Research work for term papers, the read¬ ing of required novels, and the writing of autobiographies are only a handful of the things we did this year jn the way of study¬ ing. We always tried to be prepared for “pop quizzes” which the teachers managed to spring on us. We took special care of our notebooks containing the information that served us well when we had to cram for final exams. Many of us took time out from everyday work to consult with college representatives or to take aptitude tests such as the S. C. A. T.. P. S. A. T.. or College Board Examinations. The senior and junior libraries, which helped accommodate us with current event topics and book reports, were in constant use. Come 3:20 and we were still ‘‘hanging around” to participate in after school activities. A few’ growls of our stomaches told us dinner time was nearing as we grabbed our books and started home. Although the last hell had rung, we didn’t leave; we lingered in the doorways to make plans for the weekend.
