BO DAVIES P e de t LORAINE ZANDALL Secretary -I ANNE LASKY V P 95d STEVE LOCKE-Treasurer SENIOR CLASS HISTCDRY Our senior year was a busy one. Led by Bob Davies as president, Joanne Lasky as vice-president, Loraine Zandall as secretary, and Steve Locke as treasurer, we completed many projects. We had the very first Homecoming celebration in the history of Lew Wallace. Our senior activities kept us hopping, but we loved every minute of it. There were things like the Senior Reception, Washington Trip, Trips to the Mills, the Prom, Convocation, Baccalaureate and last of all the happiest and yet the saddest clay of our lives, Commencement. Looking back over those wonderful days, we remember the great thrills we had as freshmen. It was decided back in T950 that whatever we did, we would do it in a big way. That's why Don Strimbu was elected president, Charles Ventura, vice-president, Joanne Baker, secretary, and Don Doneff, treasurer. Our first year was highlighted by our dance, The Freshman Swirl and the class play, INDIAN CAPTIVE. As sophomores 'we had the feeling of being upper-lower classmenf' That year we were led by Peter Plazony, president, Dorothy'KouveIas, vice-president, Roberta Mattingly, secretary, and Sam Uzelac, treasurer. We had a wonderful time at the Icicle Spree. Then we were looking forward to our junior year. The year '52-'53 was the year the fairer sex led the class. The girls elected were Roberta Mattingly, president, Donna Pearman, vice-president, Alice Goodpasture, secre- tary, and Peggy Coady, treasurer. The prom was something out of a dream and, as juniors, April 24, T953 was the Lovliest Night of the Year.
