2 An ear To listen to all We have to say An eye To watch over us Seeing young people as we really are A hand To guide and protect us Lending out an education stretching far beyond the classroom's barrier A mind To learn from us As we learn from you the wisdom of experience A smile Reaching out To brighten our day with cheek to cheek sunshine A heart To warm our lives and become a part of us To George Pallace — We thank you for being you. 3 4 It comes from the backwoods of meadows and memories Sunshine encased in honey-sweet rhyme . . . That lingers so gently in rustic illusions To whittle your ears to the sound of the times Kathy Johnson Fading faces in a waking dream And though they never seemed to last very long There are faces I remember . . . James Taylor 16 Faculty A and stration 19 Large organizations such as your high school and our school district include more individuals than it is possible for one to get to know intimately or even to meet face-to-face. This situation makes necessary much communication in the form of regulations, notices, report cards and such designed primarily to keep the total group operating effectively. Often these communications forms do not fit the individual case, but there seems to be no other alter- native to them if people wish to continue to maintain groups of more than a few dozen individuals. Being a single individual in a large and changing group can be a lonely and frightening experience. Our artists and scientists now devote much effort to defining and combating the common feeling of being alone in a lonely crowd. This feeling of detachment and separation from others is particularly intensive in the senior year of departure from the familiar surroundings of school. What can one individual such as yourself do to overcome this universal problem? One can achieve a state of awareness of others. Not awareness which knows another's name, or recog- nizes another's face, but which does not care or bother to discover more. Not the awareness that senses danger in permitting others to get too close to one, and therefore builds a defense and makes a virtue of non-communication. Not awareness which is quick to exploit others failures, employing the philosophy that the best defense is a good offense! Rather awareness which continues to say hello first, until finally there is a hello back; awareness which accepts the notion that others have some similar and some different hang ups from one's self, and that these are no more or less than a by-product of the human group situation. Awareness is the courage to expose one's own quirks and frailties in order to encourage another to lower his facade. Thereby, awareness discovers the particular piece of the truth about life and the human condition that each other individual personality possesses uniquely. The ultimate awareness called love is the acceptance and support of others' precious humanity. It is the most important step toward the realiza- tion of one's self and the achievement of a life which triumphs over time and circumstance. Robert Neidich Superintendent of Schools 20 21 Standing, Left to Right: Mr. Don O Watkins, Dr. Timothy H. Smith, Mr. John J. Donaldson. Seated, Left to Right: Mr Martin Adams, Mr. Herman Grau, Mrs. Angela Rubino, Mr. Joseph Good. I O n The Class of '72 has chosen with percep- tiveness a theme which may be the most pervasive and significant factor in building the elusive good life. For it is aware- ness that dictates the degree of satisfac- tion for each of us in our human interrela- tionship, in our chosen work, and in our spiritual life. Permit me to hope that your awareness remains both perceptive and pervasive so that you can take the steps required to meet your goals. GOOD LUCK. Robert Simko Principal 77 23 Ten years ago the discovery approach was introduced to Memo- rial in various academic areas such as science, mathematics and so- cial studies for the express purpose of making pupils more aware of the basic understandings in these subjects. I have witnessed this technique translated by the pupils and applied to areas of concern regarding school life. Students have become aware of certain prob- lem areas and have worked diligently towards their solutions. The student park, which will serve a vital need, is just one of these proj- ects. Without awareness of problems, there would be no problems, no solutions and no needed improvements. It is so heartwarming to ob- serve that we have had a senior class that has been aware and has moved the school forward. I congratulate you for your wonderful effort. Mr. Robert E. Noble Assistant Principal W i 24 To the Class of 1972: How wonderful are those rare moments in life when the intellect suddenly sees things in a clearer and sharp- er focus, when the familiar objects and relationships of life are suddenly bathed in a new light! These are the moments when truth and beauty become one in the eyes of the poet. Your education has served you well if it has awak- ened you to an awareness of life and living. Indeed, all learning consists of moments of truth in which we become aware of new meanings and new patterns. In this sense, awareness suggests a sensitivity to the pur- poses of one's life, a feeling for others and their needs, and a desire to build a better world for tomorrow. Congratulations and Best Wishes for Every Success! Mr. loseph McDonald Assistant Principal 75 Social Studies David Hanna SUCH A MAN . . . Unafraid of himself, Recognizing his humanity And his godliness; Quietly accepting limitations That must hurt. Feeling for others. Urging them to feel And to understand; While soothing the pain That follows. Unwilling to compromise. Causing others to soar And to plummet; E'er pointing plainly To the truth. And laughing for them. Seniors — we finally made it to the top of our climb! But where did all the time go? It went by so fast, especially since we were all so busy making this year one of our best. After donating generously to several school organizations, we worked hard rais- ing money by sponsoring bake sales and the unforgettable Halloween candy drive. We also kept busy by sponsoring some dances and movies. It wasn't all work though. Thanks to all the enthusiastic senior boys who challenged the faculty members and were victorious over the juniors in their an- nual basketball game. Thanks should also go toour advisors, Mr. Baldwin and Mr. Cibney who devoted much of their time to our class. Our senior year was geared mainly towards our goal — May 27, the senior prom at the beautiful Huntington Town House. That will be a night not easily forgotten. The final climax of our senior year was graduation at the end of june. Looking back over the year is sad, but also worthwhile having all those great memories of a great year. 46 Marlon Amling Lorna Andron 48 Elizabeth Barry Jessica Barwicke Patricia Bookman loanne Bowdery )ean Bregel Myra Breitburg Cary Broad Douglas Bromm Lorraine Brower Lois Burch David Brown Janet Brown Donna Burns Steven Brown Jude Buffa James Calder Jerry Cardone Paul Carpenter Ralph Cascarilla Nancy Casario Dominick Cannone Mary Cannon Michael Cassidy Robert Chiarelly Barbara Catalano Mike Casey Cary Cashion I Howard Chin S3 Michael Cestare 54 Kevin Conlon Patricia Connery Catherine Conway 1 K Micheal Cohen r£‘ JU L, (0_ Wl lL iX Linda Connolly Anne Connors Sharon Conway Susan Conway 5S Margaret Corrigan Richard Cooper Laurie Cromwell lackie Crawford bell bottoms find their are they and blues way along the road, only babes? laurie glaser |aap Delong lohn Deltieure Linda Dourado Bernard Ducey loan Dowd Jeanmarie Farrell Lynne Finnegan Gwen Fallacara Keith Fechtig Pamela Farrow loseph Ferrara Crooq inch ; hu rc,, y0 ju fVucX_ Success Jae. Being the only male among six girl officers, Al Huberman kept his head and did a fine job as president for the Class of 73. The juniors began their year with a success- ful magazine drive and during the Christmas sea- son, boosted their treasury by sponsoring a calen- dar sale. During February and March, the busy jun- iors sold candy and began enthusiastic prepara- tions for their prom in March with the theme of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Under the guid- ance of their advisors Mr. Mark and Mr. Wolff, the Junior Class with their enthusiasm and involve- ment had a fantastic year. 116 If I let you do this I'm letting you go deep into my head Something that I feel might betray my soul Making known its inner secrets and emotions. The Sophomore class, headed by Howard Duff and Pete Brawley, and advised by Mr. Leslie Fogel has proven to be one of the most active and spirited classes of LMHS. They began their active year with a candy sale which boosted their treasury greatly. The Class of '74 also involved the rest of the school in their activities. They sponsored the showing of the movie Wait Until Dark, sold mugs, and raffled a bicycle off. A ski trip, co-ed volley- ball, and a trip to the Bronx Zoo, were just some of the other activities engaged in this year, by the very spirited class of '74. 130 131 132 133 Class of 75 Bottom: Eileen Decyk, 1st V.P., Carole Eisman, Pres., Michelle Pollack, Rec. Sec., Jim Joos, Sec. V.P., Eddy Perez, Corr. Sec., Kevin Ibanez, Treas. Despite a crucial cut in the budget the Freshman Class with the assistance of Mr. Alan Zacker had a very successful year. The class held a bake sale during the lunch periods. A stationery sale, candy sale, movie and a recreation program were among the ac- tivities that the busy Freshman Class undertook. Car- ole Eisman, class president and Eileen Decyk 1st Vice-Pres. were co-chairmen of a class carnival. The carnival held in the gym served as a carnival and a dance. The class has also helped the S.O. and per- formed many school services. The Class of '75 has proven many times over to be a hard working and successful class. 134 Barbara Paccione, V.P., Donna Rotsch, Corr. Sec., Mary Anne Matthews, Pres. £lissa Torrieri, Treas., Mrs. Charlotte Price, Advisor, Pat Plaia, V.P. The )r. High G O. had an impressive year of accomplishments. Among them were an Appalachia Clothing Drive, which collected a ton of clothing, and a Thanksgiving Dance, whose benefits were given to two needy families. Christmas time, hand-made stuffed animal pillows were presented in the children's ward at the Nas- sau County Medical Center. A school improvement program, sponsored by the G.O., initiat- ed the renovation of dull classrooms. The beautification of the room was accomplished by painting the walls, refinishing the desks, and covering the bulletin boards with murals. 138 Success in any given year depends on many things. One such thing is participation. Much has been said of apathetic student attitudes, but the lunior High General Organization this year had little or no trouble with apathy due to the fine example set by Mrs. Charlotte Price, advisor to the General Organization. Much has been accomplished due to the seemingly endless en- ergy generated by Mrs. Price. A mere thank you seems so inadequate, but when one considers the love and gratitude behind it we hope it is sufficient. Thank you so much for so many things. Behind the doors of the Publications Office, typewriters clicked, pictures were organized and layouts were arranged. Among the endless trips to MacDonalds and constant flow of people in and out of the office, a yearbook was produced. This book is our interpretation of this school and its people. We portrayed what we saw with a very human mixture of objectivity and subjectivity. We hope we captured the theme of awareness in our surroundings, teachers, friends and most importantly, awareness of ourselves. The yearbook would not have been complete without the help of Mr. Alan Zacker, his wit and sense of humor kept us all friends. Our thanks also go to Mr. Ted Click Cibney whose photos added a professional look to our yearbook. 145 Spotlight Tom Ashley, Susan Conway, Sieve Eisman, lessica Barwicke, Steve Brown, Kevin Fuller, Cheryl Kal- lem. In times of budget cuts and increasing student apathy, the Spotlight staff has been a united force in producing their publication. Their accurate cov- erage of school news, assemblies, and sports helped to give students infor- mation on anything they might have missed. Feature stories ranged from teachers' Christmas greetings to crossword puzzles. Editorials expressed the opinion of the staff and many of the students on topics ranging from students on the front lawn to the horrors of Attica. The senior editors must be congratulated for their efforts and successes over the last two and one-half years. 147 Student Organization Sitting Left to Right: Stephi Ericson, Peter Harrigan. Standing: Sue Grossman, Andrew Dillmann, 2nd V.P. lessje Barwicke, 1st V.P. Craig Kaviar, Bruce Pollack, Steve Pariato, Pres. As usual, the Student Organization was busy throughout the year. Betterment of the total school atmosphere and experimental education programs were stressed. Following the style set by F.R.E.A.K.Y. Week of last year, four Electives Day pro- grams were presented to Memorial's Students. On the more academic side, Stu- dent Seminars were set up to give students the opportunity to come into contact with a variety of topics and ideologies which they normally would not meet with in the normal school curriculum. Taking up the banner of school beautification, the S.O. aided junior high Social Studies classes with monetary aid and volunteer painters. On the lookout to help students, the S.O. opened a student lounge in the cafeteria, after the senior lounge was closed. The list of S.O. activities are endless. More important than an impressive list of activities though, is the hard work and effort which the S.O. and its many friends put into its various doings, plus the fun, learning, and loving all the S.O. workers shared with all members of the school community who supported the various S.O. ventures. 148 Honor Society Left to Right: Donald Wechler. Vice-President, Cheryl Kallem, Treasurer, Stephanie Baynon, Secretary, Andrew Dillmann, Presi- dent As in the past, the main goal of the National Honor Society was to be of a service to the school. This year even before the new members were inducted they began tutoring students who requested help. This year Ihe Drama Club, despite some finan- cial difficulty, was able to come through with sev- eral excellent presentations, such as a perform- ance of Lithuania, for an Electives Day, a Thea- ter Medley in February, and, of course, the musi- cal extravaganza, L'il Abner, in the spring. 153 A unique interest in fishing caused the adoption of this new club this year. Advised by Mr. Robert Hunt, the fishing Club developed into an effective organization. The peaceful art of fishing has become increasingly popular with two trips to Sheep's Head and others to Montauk Point. b Surf Club The Surf Club, under the direction of Mr. Ted Gibney made the most of the Island's waves. During the winter months, the Club built up skills at the Long Beach Swim Club. In the spring the surfers in- vaded the beaches with a special trip to Rhode Island. 154 Spanish Club The Spanish Club enjoyed a successful year of activities. Be- ginning with a profitable candy sale the club contributed time and money to the annual Span- ish Fiesta. The party, which was the highlight of the year, in- cluded Spanish dancing and a buffet of Spanish dishes. To add to the activities of the Club, the Spanish newspaper, La Voz was also published. Ski Club More and more people are taking up the sport of skiing With the help of the LMHS Ski Club, many students have taken to the slopes. Under the guidance of Mr. C. Ross Clemmensen, the Club sponsors 4 of 5 ski trips every year, going to ski lodges Upstate or in New Jersey. This year the members of the Ski Club helped to plan an overnight ski trip to a dude-ranch in Peekskill, New York. There have been equipment demonstrations, and films relating to skiing and adding to the enjoyment of the club. Wendy Eslipona, Sec.; Mr C. Ross Clemmensen; Iris Sherman, Pres. It does so by providing opportunities for members to become actually involved in the teaching process. This year sev- eral members of the F T.A. spent time at Abbey Lane School where they participated in elemen- tary classroom activities. 157 Lettermen This year Memorial has seen (he birth of a new service club. The Let- termen's Club founded by Mr. Rich- ard Knobloch, consists of young men who have obtained a varsity or J.V. letter. Chaperoning dances and ex- hibiting proper student decorum were some of the functions of this fine organization. Athletic recrea- tion, camping trips and other activi- ties were participated in by members of the club. Top: Bob Brown, Randy Frey, Dave Francis, Steve Frost, Brad Beamer. The Levittown Hockey Club has achieved a high position in the quality of its personnel this year. This can be attributed to persistance, self-determination and perseverance on the part of the players, combined with a talented and versatile coaching staff consisting of Mr. Bruce Baldwin and Mr. Wade Ehlen. This has been reinforced through the success of the team. Out- standing players this season have been: Captain Jon Hershkowitz, Captain Dave Francis, Steve Frost, Brad Beamer, Ed Rybici, Ed Remenschneider, Mike Pasantino, John Genua, and the two most capable goalies in the league, Paul Newman and Ken Mitchell. Upcoming players are: Bob Brase, Randy Frey, Richie Mays, Mark Helfano, and Bob Brown. Some highlight games this year have been an exciting double win over Chaminade and the 2 to 1 victory over Holy Trinity. The record of the team so far is 9-5-1. Although this year's varsity football squad was not expected to provide much competition against returning champs West Hemp- stead and Wantagh, the Panthers surprised everybody by being in the running for the league crown until their last contest, a disap- pointing loss to West Hempstead. Up until this game, the fine play of ends Cary Kipling and Bob Helmers, running backs Harry Guth- muller, and Larry Andersen, linemen Bill Mueller, Tim Murray, Gerry Hall and Steve Pariato. Led by Cap. Bob Dyckman the cats produced a 4-1 record. A 6-0 upset victory over Wantagh in their first game highlighted the season as the defense and an all around effort by the whole squad proved to be the outstanding factors for a successful club. Team work was obvious as five Panthers (Dyckman, Guthmuller, Pariato, Anderson and Kipling) were named to the All South-Shore III league team. Always a bridesmaid and never a bride refers to the 71, 72 Panther soccer team. Although Memorial, coached by Ken Granelli, finished first in SSI 11 a first round loss to Oceanside prematurely ended their fine season. Co-Capts. Tom Ashley, Peter Harrigan and Charles Yevoli did a good job bringing the team together during some of the rougher times. One pleasant surprise for Coach Granelli was the sterling performance of goalie Don Maltby, who made many great saves to keep the Panthers in first place. Charles Yevoli's depth as both an aggressive fullback and lineman enabled him to attain South Shore honors two years running. This year's senior laden team was probably one of the strongest in Panther history with depth at every position. Forwards, Dave Sobarzo and laap Delong did more than play the line. With their poise, they set a fine example for the junior members of the team. At halfback, Tom Ray, )im Calder, and Ric Santiago made the hard look easy with their fine playing abil- ity Besides all-star Charles Yevoli, the fullback corps of Bruce Cotti, Bob Bennett, Tom Ashley and injury prone Peter Harrigan proved a strong defense. Back- up goalie Paul Newman proved himself an adequate replacement for Don Maltby. Next year's team led by Sean Rooney and Pete McGrath will be strong Contenders for the league championship. 183 Cross Country Bottom Row: Fred lipsky, Barry lipsky, Willy Whitfield, Tom Czachor, Warren Wergeles. Top Row: Ray Stecker, John Donahue, Eric Lipsky, Dave Curran, Hamilton Wray, Ted Isoldi, Coach The 1971-72 Cross Country team was undoubtably one of the best teams in the whole New York State this year. With two runners, captain Barry Lipsky and Willy Whitfield making the All-State Cross Country Team and Captain Dave Curran and Eric Lipsky placing extremely well in the County Championship Meet, Levittown Memorial's Cross Country team only lacked a fifth man to make it all the way. Strong efforts were made by sophomore Tom Czachor to uphold the fifth spot but lack of experience kept him far behind the Top Four. The County Championships proved the strength of the Panther's as they came home with two trophies won by Barry Lipsky and Willy Whitfield placing second and fourth respectively and Dave Curran and Eric Lipsky placing fourteenth and fifteenth. A new school record was set as Barry Lipsky smashed his last year's record of 12:27 minutes to a new lime of 12:06 with junior Willy Whitfield very close behind. With the great dedication and inspiration of Coach Ted Isoldi, who is among the top coaches of Nassau County, this years Cross Country team was without a doubt the best team Levittown Memorial ever turned out. The loss of captains Barry Lipsky and Dave Curran will be greatly felt next year, but the strong efforts of Willy Whitfield, Eric Lipsky and Tom Czachor will surely replace their positions to once again turn out a successful year. 185 Wrestling Back: Mr. Phil Wolfe, |im Sullivan, Gerry Hall, Larry Anderson, |eff Dvorak, Skippy Michaelowski, Bob Bennett. Front: Jack McAn- drews, Tom Czachor, Steve Phillips, Keith Fechtig, Mike Phillips, Mr. Richard Knobloch. With only four seniors wrestling Varsity, this year's grapplers still managed to end the season with their perennial fourth place finish behind Wantagh, Seaford, and Carey. Although Skip Mi- chaelowski, Bob Bennett, and co-captains Gerry Hall and Larry Andersen were the team's only Consistent victors during the season, Keith Fechtig, Steve Phillips, and Jim Sullivan supported the team with a few big wins. Highlighting the season were two victories over Hempstead and Southside, and a fine show- ing in their first takedown tournament with Hall placing first; bennett, Fechtig, Andersen, and Michaelowski placing second; and Phillips and Tom Czachor placing third. The Panthers cli- maxed their season with a second place finish by Hall and third place finishes by Michaelowski, Andersen, and Bennett in the league tournament. 186 Bottom: Pal Lyons, Selh In- fantino, Bob Mananski, |ohn Scalici, Cary Flynn. Top: Bob Mahoney, Bob Malhews, Joe Yevoli, Cary Kipling, Cap!., Mark Bernard, Clen Wilken- son, Joe Ciaconie, Manager. Basketball Playing in perhaps the strongest division in the county. Memorial's Varsity Basketball team managed to win only two of their twelve league games. Despite the record, the team under Coach Desimone fought hard all season and with some better breaks they might have won half their games. Losses to Elmont and Wantagh were decided in the final minute. An excellent and far taller Hempstead team, on their court failed to mount a lead against us until the third quarter. A lack of height (no player over 6'1 ) and a lack of experience (only two seniors) might have discouraged many teams but not the Panthers. In fact, the final minute heroics of the smallest and youngest panther, 5'2 freshman Bob Manaski, gained the Panthers their first league victory against Elmont. An all team effort gave the Panthers an 80-60 romp over Wantagh. Leading the team this year were captain Cary Kipling and leading scorer Joey Yevoli. Yevoii, with an 18.2 scoring average and the team lead in re- bounds, scored 30 points in the Wantagh victory, while being named to the all-section team. Kipling, perhaps the hardest working ballplayer and team inspirer, was second in scoring and assists. While shooting better than 50% from the field, most of Kipling's points came inside against the final two games, including 22 points against Elmont. Senior Mark Bernard had a tough task of playing center against bigger opponents and often sparked the team with his good inside as well as outside play. Sophomore Bob Mahoney, starting every game, was second in rebounding and third in scoring despite his 5'8 height. Mananski, an excellent playmaker and shooter, led the team in assists. Though the play of Kipling and Bernard will be missed, nine returning lettermen make the future look brighter than ever. The team will still lack in height but the added experience will greatly cut down on the team's mistakes. Starters Yevoli, Mahoney, and Manaski will return along with juniors Gary Flynn, Chris Quinn, John Scalici, and Glen Wilkenson, and sophomores Seth Infantino and Bob Matthews. These players in addition to some players up from a strong )V should provide the Panthers with a fine team and a great chance for a playoff berth. 188 189 Winter Track Top: Stu Pretel, Rich Kushner, Dave O'Connor, )oe Kessel, Larry Diez, Bob Guinan, Eric Lipsky, Barry Lipsky, Capl., Mr. leuke. Coach, Ben Soong, Bob Schulz, Peter Brawley, Bill Hernandez, Bob Ferrara, Willy Whitfield, Co-Capt. Last winter's unpredictable weather effected not only the spirits of many students but the Winter Track Team as well. Slush, hail, snow and rain canceled some track meets, but many were successful. Memorial's impres- sive runners placed high in several events. In four man relay, Memorial's runners, Peter Brawley, Bob Schulz, Bob Guinan, and Billy Hernandez placed second. Joe Kessel placed second in the section 8 relay. A highlight of the Winter Track team was Barry Lip- sky's second place scoring in the County Finals. Coached by Mr. Sherwood Lucke, LMHS's runners beat New Hyde Park. In a four-way tournament includ- ing Levittown, Valley Stream Central, North and South our runners placed second. In another important intra- mural race Memorial placed third. It seems the long hours of running through the halls of the school and around the track have paid off in one of Memorial's finest records. 192 Lacrosse I Standing Rear: Coach Phil Wolfe, Harry Gulhmuller, Tim Murray, Larry Andersen, John Bizik, Bill Mueller, |im Sullivan, Steve Eisman, Bob Hellmers, Bart Rabkin, Pete Fishbein, Bob Michaelowski, Tom Walsh, Bob Dykeman, Artie Becarris. Kneeling: Charlie Yevoli, Mike Infan- tino, Cary Ibanez, George Joos, Steve Geoletti, Ferni Perez, Mike Phillips, )oe Yevoli, Steve Ahearn, Gerry Hall The success of the Varsity Lacrosse squad is hinged upon the success of Tri-Captains Larry An- dersen, Bill Mueller, and Tim Murray, and All-League Attackman Artie Becarris. These four players along with Head Coach Phil Wolfe and Assistant Coach Bill Crome supply the Panthers with enough talent and ability to capture their first league crown. Defense is the most important factor in any team and the Panthers, led by Goalie Mueller, Murray, Steve Eisman and Skippy Michaelowski, is one of the best around. Mueller's outstand- ing play in the goal is a facesaver as he turns many sure goals for the opposition into fast breaks for Memorial. On the other end of the field, Andersen and Becarris should be the leading scorers for the second straight year, but balance is the Panther's biggest asset. Joe Yevoli and Pete Fishbein, both scoring threats, complement Becarris on the attack while Gerry Hall and Bart Rabkin com- bine with Andersen to form one of the best midfields anywhere. With all this going for them, the only surprise this season would be the Cats not taking their league. 193 Baseball With only hard work and practicing underway so far the Panthers have great expectations for this season. Many veterans from last year's team are returning to form a very competent starting lineup. The team has an experienced leader in their new coach Bill Ballou who played semi-pro ball and also coached at Adelphi. Memorial's Panthers have high hopes of capturing the first league crown in this school's history. The hitting of Ed Manz, Rich Cooper, and Steve Rosenberg combined with the pitching of Captain Cary Kipling and Fred Radzewski make the prospect of success inevitable. Even before all the signs of winter have melted away, the Spring Track Team comes out in full force to complete the year-round track cycle. The team owes much of its direction and success to the constant concern of its coaches Sherwood Lucke and Ted Isoldi. This year, however, we have decided to do something different. We would like to take this opportunity to thank two very special people. Two people who are de voted to guiding and helping All students. Two peo- ple who throughout the years transformed the pains of learning into a desire for knowledge, who helped us to mature into young men and women, and who gave that part of themselves other than just the teacher — THE FRIEND! We would like to thank Mr. Thaddeus Sibney and Mr. Bruce Baldwin for reaching out to us. for being personally involved and for understanding. We would like to thank them for caring for EACH of us as a person with individual needs, fears, and prob- lems. Throughout the years as our class advisors they have made many events possible and successful, such as our Senior Prom. Without these two people our years would have been lost and uneventful. We will graduate with moments and memories to be treasured the rest of our lives. But there is NOTHING as great as the memories of Love and Frienship that these two people have etched in our hearts. We envy those who we leave behind and hope that they will be as PROUD of these persons as we are. It would be impossible to return the love and friendship Mr. Gibney and Mr. Baldwin have given us. What we can give instead is our sincere thanks Thank you.
