The school year is over. Empty corridors, deserted classrooms, lockers void of books ... Just a moment before, bustling crowds of noisy, active students worked, studied, and had fun here. Now all is silent. Although it is the end, the memories of this year and all our preceding years will still remain with us. As one. strongly united class we have achieved many memorable things—dances, the carni- val, the Prom, graduation ... We have made friends; we have planned and worked hard together; we have gained knowledge and maturity. Now we leave, knowing that we will always remember these years and cherish that memory. In the years to come, along with the outstanding activities of the year, the most ordinary of events will become precious memories, echoing the sounds of Levittown Memorial to us.

We, as students, are recipients of all the accumulated knowledge and experience of our teachers. They, in turn, receive the guidance and wisdom of the school ad- ministration. The officers of the Board of Education who plan, select, and aid the ad- ministration, receive their authority from the people of the community—our parents. Thus, the chain of education is completed. Each link—the student, the teacher, the administrator, and the organizer—being just as important as the other. When we give thanks for this great op- portunity we have, the opportunity to re- ceive an education, we must thank every- one. The teachers for their knowledge, patience, and understanding; the admini- strators for a well-run, excellently staffed school; the organizers for comprehensive study programs, high quality text books, and building improvements; and our par- ents for making all of this possible. We owe so much and give in return so little. “Thank you” seems so insufficient for all that we have been given, but that is all we have to offer. Thank you teach- ers, vice principals, principal, members of the Board of Education, and thank you parents. 2
