The Senior Class of L.M.H.S. was the pace setter of the school. It can be said that the class of '58 sparkles with personality, wit, and good fellowship. The first of many successful enterprises was the Senior Carnival, designed to raise funds for “Echoes ' With the indispensable aid of Mr. Russo and Mr. Schwartz, many new and original ideas entered into the activities of the Senior Class. One of the most successful of these endeavors was the Snack Bar managed by Susan Lapidus, which sold candy, pretzels, and potato chips to the hungry students and teachers after school. The profits from the Snack Bar were used to buy a gift for the school and to adopt an orphan. The ambitious Seniors planned and organized the tremendous Senior week during which a gala Senior-Junior spaghetti dinner was held in honor of the graduating class. Seniors and teachers exchanged roles to the merriment of participants and viewers alike. In mid-season a much enjoyed skating party was organized providing a good time for all who attended. The Mr. Cupid award went to that lovable fellow, Joel Weissman, at the Valentines Day dance, “A Date with Cupid. Working hard to acheive these successes were the Senior Class officers, President Joel Weissman, Vice President, Dave Abrams, Secretary, Carol West- rick, Treasurer, Sandy Brown.
