At the head of the yearbook staff was one of the leading seniors of Levittown Memorial High, Editor-in-Chief, Ellen Furedi. Writing for “Echoes” occupied a good deal of Joan Glickman’s time, as she was Literary Editor of the yearbook. ECHOES EDITORS Layout for “Echoes” is prepared by hardworking art men, A1 Burkhardt and Danny Sherman. Never a dull moment for Business Manager of “Echoes” Mary Jane Marchlevski.

ADMINISTRATION Dear Students. The Class of 1958, more than any group which has preceeded it, faces new challenges and invitations. Science has so rapidly ventured into new frontiers of space that intelligence and education have become more important than ever before. To you comes the challenge to understand this changing world, and the invitation, as a member of tomorrows generation of leaders, to forge forward in the discovery and control of new frontiers. No one could have a better opportunity to view and share in this pageant of history in the making than a member of your graduation class. May your contribution to tomorrow and your rewards for service be high. Fred Ambellan Superintendent Mr. Fred Ambellan Superintendent of Schools Mr. Charles Jacobs Principal Dear Friends, You are facing and will continue to face a more difficult world than seniors have for the past decade. There will be much keener competition for college entrance, college work will be more difficult, and your future employers are to be more exacting. When one knows in advance of an approaching problem he can prepare himself. What can you do to meet this increased challenge? Most people fail in their occupation because they do not begin to put forth effort that is equal to their ability. You may be assured that you have the ability, the previous training and all other prequisite qualities. No one can stop you from the success you desire if you have sincere determination to attain that success. Almost without exception you find the successful person has reached his objective more because of interest and determina- tion than ability. Sincerely yours, Charles C. Jacobs Principal
