KENNETH M. LAYCUC Superintendent oil' pnlhllricc Selhroells Superintendent Kenneth M. Laycock was born in Collinsworth County in the Texas Panhandle. His two degrees. B. S. and M. Ed. , are from West Texas State University. He has the distinction of having had three types of professional experience in Shamrock, Texas. He began his teaching career there as a high school history teacher, receiving a promotion to the position of high school principal, and later to the superintendency of the Shamrock schools. He is a member of numerous professional organizations as well as having been the recipient of many pro- fessional honors. The two years prior to his coming to Levelland were spent at the Uni- versity of Texas where he was officially ad- mitted to candidacy and completed all course requirements for a Doctor of Educa- tion degree. At the University of Texas he was Lecturer in the College of Education and later was Research Assistant in the Depart- ment of Educational Administration. At present he is writing his dissertation of ful- fillment of the requirement for the coveted Ed. D. Degree.
