Oliver, custodian of the athletic de- partment, has been in close association with the athletes of L.H.S. since coming here from Cotton Center in September, 1958. By being diligent in his time and effort, Mr. Oliver has become a fixed part of our athletic program. Durng his six years here, the ath- letes have come to think of Mr. Oliver as a close friend for whom there is never-ending respect. Mr. Oliver not only helps the athletes with the problems they encounter, but he also helps to raise their spirits and desires by recalling past instances of thrilling games, close scores, memorable incidents, and scholarship offers. We show our appreciation to Mr. Oliver by dedicating the 1964 El Lobo to him. 'vefstxff ss , sw ag ir, .. 5-,.f',,,-kj-te. 1:30 PM., November 22, 1963 Our late President, John F. Kennedy, gave us the Master Key to a superior and greater way of living. He was a symbol of America, believing in a government, a purpose, and a way of life where things can be im- proved. President Kennedy gave us the key to success by believing in hard work and loving our work: the key to unselfishness by being filled with pride by the accomplishments of others and what we can do for others: the key to believe in ourselves, to build greatly, to have a great goal to believe in and create the means to reach it. President Kennedy gave us a key, as youth.fulAmericans, to live a dignified, useful, and dedicated life and to be an inspiration for others. His philosophy of life and equality of rights gave us a key to better understand- ing of all races and to shut out hatred and bitterness. President Kennedy said, This is a dangerous and uncertain world . . . no one expects our lives to be easy--not in this decade, not in this century g but he gave us the key to face problems as they arise, to strive for solutions, and to begin anew. The master key he gave us will definitely open, to all, a better way of life. J 1 1 il t i I 4 4 1 2 I i .
