EDllPlll!lIh Ilulilir Srhnula Irtwllaxth, 'Cfrxas September 30, l957 To the Students of Levelland High School: When one rrviews previous issues of Fl Lobo and observes the accomplishments of our graduates, hoth in school and out, it becomes very obvious that the Levelland student body has established some very outstanding traditions. The records many of our graduates make in college and the attitude you yourselves take toward your class-work indicate that scholarship is held in high esteem. The outstanding work done by our student organizations promotes the highest type of citizenship that can be obtained in a high school community. Vnder the fine leadership of our Student Council you are participating in many clubs and extra-curricular activities which provide experience as active members in a democratic society. ln addition to scholarship and citizenship you have developed a third tradition of student leadership. Phe school spirit so much in evidence during our Interscholastic League contests in football and basketball is the direct result of the leadership of your cheer leaders and your band. Yhr vocational clubs, the music organizations, and the speech department provide further opportunities both for serving as leaders and for selecting leaders. ln short. our high school is large enough to provide a well-rounded curriculum, and small enough to offer maximum opportunities for thc individual.
