Well, here it is. We are happy to give you your l95l El Lobo, the answer to all your questions and the result of nine months of hard labor by the staff. But it has been fun and we hope you like it. lt is our wish that, as you look through the pages of your l95l El Lobo in later years, that the collection of pictures, activities, and written material which you see there will help you to recall happy school days in L. H. S. There is quite a story behind the selection of our theme, which is a comparison between the oldtime ranch-life, an industry upon which lite in West Texas has been built, an d modern school days, upon which your own life is based. After much discussion of themes, the staff was divided exactly in halt, one half arguing for campus, the other, western. Both sides were determined but finally we reached a logical solution: compromise. The compromise' proved to be appropriate, because there are so many would-be cowboys attending L.H.S. If you don't believe it, just look around you and notice the number of boots, levies, and ten gallon hots you see. lt is nice to notice, too, that there is a good reason for so much western atmosphere. For, after all, West Texas was first settled by ranchers of the Old West variety. So we give you our old-time cowpokes and our modern day dudes. We would like to express our appreciation to Weimhold's Printing Company who print- ed our annual and Shugart's who made all class portraits.-THE STAFF.

In Memoriam By BEVERLY CASWEIL He was just a boy of sixteen, Whom everyone loved so well: We all worshiped and loved htm, Our Jim, the one who was so swell. He never bothered anyone, He never brought them shameg He was just a good boy, And we loved to hear the sound of name. Jim was good in hls schoolwork, He was good in his sports, He always showed good 31 Just as you and I should do Now he has gone and left us, But we'll never forget him or his Our Jim, the one we thought the OI. We'll see htm again in happier days. Let's all remember hlm as our 1 mate, The one who was so good and kind Not just a boy in hlgh school, But Our Jim, whom we'll never leave behind.
