Few things provide so much present and future enioyment as the year book. Certainly all of us are aware of the many, many hours of work necessary to produce such an outstanding book. GARNER Superintendent The Centinela Valley Board of Trustees is the group of very devoted men we have to thank for all the new build- ings which their planning has provided. Also in the' past there has been our auditorium and other modern buildings that have been built to improve the looks of L.H.S. and to accommodate for the larger number of students that are enrolled. We are very grateful to these men for their foresight and fortitude in seeing that our school is forever running smooth- ly and efficiently.

Arthur Reimer, who passed away last Septem- ber, left students and teachers with a musical heritage they will never forget. As head of the department, he came to Leuzinger's Music Depart- ment in September, 1930. He originated and per- fected the beautiful annual choral festival. He was also the original sponsor of Campus Fellow- ship, which is now one of the largest clubs on campus. He was the composer of our Alma Mater, All Hail . MEMORIAL PAGE Mr Reimer made frequent trips to Mexico where he visted missionaries working among Indians. During this time he recorded native music and collected miniature musical instruments. His wife, Josephine, a constant companion on these trips, donated many of these instruments to the school following his death. A Mr. Reimer was an avid tennis player and a great fisherman. He fished everywhere from the ocean off the coast of California to the streams of Vancouver. Mr Reimer organized and conducted the Lou- disti Singers. This was a group which sang at churches all over Southern California for six years. They made thirty-four public appearances each year. He also directed the Men's Glee Club while a student at U.C.L.A. He conducted choirs at many Cl1UI'Cl1eS in Southern California. Among them were the First Methodist Church of Ingle- wood, the Church of the Open Door in Los An- geles, The Tenth Avenue Church of Huntington Park, and at the time of his illness he was choir director at Redondo Chapel. Leuzinger High School and his students were Mr. Reimer's greatest love. His greatest ideal was S XXX - gg to spread Christianity wherever he went. XFEZES . 4 1.
