Class History We now see on our screen the history of the graduating class of 1953. The Master of Ceremonies of the first part of our program is the well- known Bob Stuart. His assistant is Carol Todd with Ronnie Tuebner and Nancy Has- brouck lending their assistance. The sponsors of this program are Mrs. Albro and Mr. Gephart. The first week at Leslie High School was found to be very enjoyable for these freshmen. They were honored by a field day, at which contests were held between the ninth and tenth grades, with the ninth grade holding top honors. To close Freshman Week, the sophomores gave an All-High Party in honor of our class W were distinguished by being the largest class ever to enter Leslie Our Student Council representatives were Nancy Has- brouck and Sara Jo Aldrich The second part of our program is directed by Dick Hecksel, B111 James, Sara Jo Aldrich and Gary Burnette M Miller and Mrs Bronson are the sponsors Our Student Council representatives are Larry Castle and Madeline Patterson We view two famous radio characters coming to our fair school They are Pie Plant Pete and Bashful Joe We also note great excitement in the selection f class rings The chosen students who direct the third and fourth part of our program are Bill James, Bob Stuart, Nancy Hasbrouck and Paul Southwick The sponsors are Mr Goudreau, Mr. Miller and Mrs. Bronson. The Student Council representatives for this year are Wanda Seltz and Dick Heck- sel. One of the highlights of this year is the Junior Prom. Many hard hours were spent in the making ot this beautiful production. Another big event was the Junior Play, entitled 'Glamour Boyn, starring Paul Southwick. We also spon- sored a Ham Supper. Our last and most spectacular part of the program is sponsored by Miss Grei- ner, Mrs. Albro, Mr. Goudreau and Mr. Hecksel. The Student Council representa- tives are Nancy Larson and Dick Hecksel with Carol Todd taking over in Nancy's place for the second semester During this year we have had a big Magazine Campaign, and we produced the play 'The Little Dog Laughed' We have recently been busily engaged in composing our most important manuscript, nThe Spi of L H To bring a close to this our most enjoyable year, the Junior class honored us with a beautiful Prom on the evening before we left on our trip Our trip consisted of a boat cruise from Detroit to Mackinac Island and then to Chicago Our future is rather hazy, but we know that with hard work, perseverence, and the will of God it will be fruitful and Leslie High will be proud of each and every one of us MRS MRS MRS MRS VRS MR YRS Class Flower White Carnation Class Motto nln Ourselves our Future Lies P85 POD!
