January always a cold month at LOHS found a hot item in the band room meet ing twice a week, three hours per meeting. The Stage Band spent many hours of work, frustration, failure, success, as they laid the foundation for a dedicated group of students, dedicated to a Great Sound. Performing at many events the highlight of the bands accomplishments was the Eau Claire Jazz Festival where they represented the school at its best. Linda Barker, Senior, was awarded with a certificate for her outstanding musicianship on her flute solo. The remaining stage band members will miss the seniors, but will keep the spirit up for the year to come. Thanks Seniors! Madrigal performed many times this year, also at many churches. Again this year the L-O Pops Group won a star at the state contest. C ongratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
