Senior Class Advisors Mrs. Anderson Mr. Dotzenrod o CLASS PROPH ECY The other day I received an invitation from an old friend to visit him in LeRoy.. The mention of the name LeRoy brought back fond memories of the old Class of '62, and I recalled that it had been exactly 25 years since their graduation. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone by looking up all my old cronies while I was in town. My chauffeur, Larry Moe, drove me up to the growing metropolis, which is experiencing a boom under the present mayor, Larry Jacobson. Mayor Jacobson is supervising the construction of a new 350,000,000 launching pad, donated by multi-millionaire, David Backus, who is now a thriving Texas oilman. Incorporated world famous scientists, Mary Main and Wayne Leibfried, are developing a new missile that will eventually be taking Gary Woods to Jupiter, where his private secretary, Karen Juvrud, has been vacationing. As I was touring the main street of LeRoy, I was astonished to see how the businesses had grown and changed. My first stop was to see my old friend, Cedric Schutz, who is now in the pink and purple department of lingerie, employed by the LeRoy branch of Bergland Enterprises. President Dale Bergland is now in Detroit with his wife, the former Charlotte Abbott, supervising the production of the new red and white polka dot styles for fall. In the next store I visited, I tripped over a scrub girl. Lo and Behold, as she looked up, I saw it was Mary Berg. Tears flowing from her eyes, These words she uttered: Too Much! I never should have married my boss, Roger Bhend. As I left Mary, I ran into a newsboy, Kenny McRoberts. Imagine my surprise when I read the Headlines! Jean Hawkins, playgirl, sues'Paul Paulsen, famous actor, for her fifth divorce, on the grounds of overaffection. Reading on, I noticed that Mr. David Jacobson is now heading Alcoholics Anonymous in a suburb of Ostrander. At this time, hunger invaded my stomach, so I walked to the main store of the Red Owl Chain Stores, Incorporated. Wandering down the aisles, I ran into my old friend, Gary Austin, who, to my surprise, was still a delivery boy, but he had risen to the position of Chief Delivery Boy. Leaving the Red Owl, I walked past a gas station and saw Dalton Patterson working on a new ultra-modem car, assisted by Mary Kempe. While reminiscing, they informed me that Robert Harrington is now Chief 'Whale Catcher at Lake Louise. Walking past a feed store, I overheard Ron Peters and his wife, the former Phyllis Smith, arguing whether to buy Doughboy or Murphy feed for their healthy pigs. My next stop was the telephone office, where I knew Don Raage was head operator. While talking with him, I found the latest news to be that Vernon Blum, presiding Justice of the Peace, had finally married Terry Heathman and Gloria Monsen, just the day before. At last my wandering steps took me to the old halls of learning, where I met the new principal, Eddie Runde. Some of the new teachers on the faculty were Ann King and Helen Kruse. Driving around the residential section, I spied Joan Perry hanging up clothes in her back yard for her wonderful brood of ten children. I also passed a sign pointing to Elouise’s Beauty Salon. As it was nearing the end of a wonderful day, I decided to go to a hotel. When I got there, bellboy Verdell Tapp offered to take my bags up to my room. Walking around the lobby, I ran into the owner of the hotel, Mary Hansen, who told me that Sharon Leslie and Karen Larson, famous Italian grape stompers, were soon to return to LeRoy. It was now 10:00 p.m., so I decided to retire for the night. As I switched on my television, I saw Gail Thompson demonstrating a famous floor wax. And then, at the close of a perfect day, I drowsily leaned back in my easy chair and thought of the success of the class of ’62.
