CLASS PROPHECY The month was November; the year Seventy-one. I thought I'd relax with my days labors done. When I switched on the T.V. it seemed like a dream Cause the 6l Seniors appeared on the screen. The T.V. Announcer said, Folks, you have a date To learn of the following Seniors fate. Way back in the hills of Kentucky, we find Mary Lou Eire brewing up corn whiskey with Harlan Thompson on the look-out for the law. Oh, oh, here comes Constable Kermie Nauman to haul them in. Warren Barrett and Charlotte Christensen are running a Keep Dry Diaper Service in Arabia. Sam Bettin is a prominent hair stylist in the best society circles, ladies flip over his latest style, Bettin's Bangs. Priscilla Christenson and Donald Daily are lumberjacks in Northern Minnesota. (I hear those northern winters get pretty cold, Don.) Denny Eire is now playing Second Fiddle for the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. Dick Grass is now a distinguished English teacher at Oxford. By the way, this is not surprising as English was always his favorite subject in high school. Will wonders never cease.' There is now only one tavern in Mclntire. Warren Harden seems to have this monopoly with his establishment, Harden's Hangout. Richard Harrington, better known as Tex , and his wife. Sherry Milbum, are living on a cattle ranch in Arizona. Between his horse skills and her cow punching, they make quite a team. Diane Hovde, Helen Martinek, and Rita Penning are hula dancers in Hawaii. Bill Back keeps them supplied with grass skirts. Gary Johnson has taken John Law's position as policeman for LeRoy. His main problem is getting the students off the streets at curfew time. His wife, Sharon Byrd, is more concerned with getting him off the streets. Janet Jones is a beatnik at Greenwich Village. That wild life is going to get you down, Janet. Sharon Lastine is a Can-Can Girl at one of the Las Vegas gambling casinos. Tom Lawson is chief fireman for the Ostrander Fire Department. Matronly Pat Bly considers him quite a hero when he saved her by using mouth to mouth respiration.
