STUDENT COUNCIL In the early part of the school year, the Senior Class of I960 selected five seniors to run for Student Council President. The five were: Barb Wood, Carolyn Heathman, Eleanor Roe, Terry Lamon, and Ronnie Rich. From these five candidates, two finalists were elected by the student body in a preliminary election. The two finalists were Ronnie Rich and Terry Lamon. The final election ended as followsr President - Ronnie Rich, and Vice-President -Terry Lamon. Homecoming was the first activity the Student Council planned at their first meeting on September 22. Homecoming began with Coronation on October 7 with the snake dance and bonfire being held on October 8. Homecoming ended with a victorious game over Adams and a dance following the game. On November 12, 13, and 11 Ronnie Rich, Terry Lamon, and foreign exchange student Ulrich Mende, attended a Student Council Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The next big event the Student Council planned was the Winter Formal of December 12. This year's Student Council has worked hard and has accomplished much. The annual staff had a meeting Monday night and are well on the way to producing a very good 1960 year book. Mr. Boe says he thinks this is the best ever. The Le Roy chapter was first organized in the spring of 1956 Quill and Scroll members main project has been the preparation and editing of the Le Roy High School Student Handbook which is given to all students free of charge on the first day of school each year. Because the I960 members of the Quill and Scroll were not chosen at the time of the printing of this yearbook, the staff was unable to obtain a picture 28
