Each rung's been chosen carefully For use at this special time. The first rung is our courage; We chose that one with care, For it's the very foundation Of the things that we will dare. The second rung is hope, The next is Just our dreams, The following two are naturally Unfailing truth and schemes. One rung, of course, is memories For we cannot forget The different things we did, And the many friends we met. We're thinking of the future, And we have naught to fear; For up ahead we behold A future bright and clear. God has helped us this far And will to the end of time.
