To the Graduating Class From out the chaos which he has endured A bright new world for man emerges nowg At such a monstrous price was it procured That eagerly he changes sword for plough. O, yours must be the leading, guiding hand That keeps the future safe from strife and hate, That holds within its grasp our sacred land, That wields the power to decide our fate. The chance we have, our parents once had, too, To shape a world where peace and hope could But misuse of their rights and freedom grew, Desire to keep the peace was all in vain.
