QQ Dedication lt has been the custom, since the publication of the first LEONIA LORE, to dedicate the yearbook to some member of th faculty, in recognition of the affectionate esteem in which he is held by the graduating class. ln departing from this precedent, we of the CLASS of l943 do not wish to be thought unappreciative of the help and guidance given to us by all members of the faculty. We feel, however, that in these days of turmoil and strife when we are forced to look beyond our school horizons, to share in more mature activities than usual, and to accept responsibilities greater than those to which we are accus- omed, it is especially fitting that we recognize publicly the contribution which our classmates are already making to the cause of the United Nations and to ultimate victory. Therefore, to those members of the CLASS of I943 who have left Leonia High School to join the armed services of our country, we are happy and proud to dedicate this pan- orama of our high school life.
