Pep Squad Fifty-five girls perform on calm cool nights and later in the season, sometimes in the rain, and often in the wind. Sometimes they perform gracefully and rhythmically, some- times loudly, but always exuberantly proclaiming their spirit for LHS. Their practice, like that for foot- ball begins in the middle of August when they go with their sponsor, Mrs. Joan Curry, to football field to practice old routines and yells and to learn new ones brought home from summer majorette and cheerleader schools. At the games, they help the team in putting on a show for friends and fans. Little girls can be seen with little batons in back yards working with as much enthusiasm as the big girls. These three majorettes have prac- ticed at home, at majorette school and on the football field, and their half-time performance is done with ease and grace.
