They are cooperative and pleasant to work with. Most of them take part in extra curricular activities. Most have children in school. Some serve as room mothers or members of the athletic club. Another lunchroom worker, Mrs. Claudine Latham, works through the lunch hour. Mr. Frank Record came back, after several years absence, as custodian at the grade school. J. C. Weaver drove a bus on the afternoon run. Ed Shearer came to work during the school year. He takes much pride in keeping the high school building really clean. 10 lVlrs. Berniece Treadway and Mrs. Barbara Marshall have been making mouth water- ing rolls and cooking other good things for us for several years. Mrs. Lorene Stanley has been with us two years. ,v-'-N George Price left us during the year after serving as custodian at the grade school, and as bus driver. ---7 'S Billy Frank Crawford, although engaged in a business in town, makes a morning bus run, which he has done for us for some time. This year, for the first timc. Mr. Mcfllcndon offered an opportunity to seniors. planning to become teachers. to observe and do sonic tcaching while serving as teacher aids -W-..,.,.W. Sometimes they perform gracefully and rhythmically, some- times loudly, but always exuberantly proclaiming their spirit for LHS. Their practice, like that for foot- ball begins in the middle of August when they go with their sponsor, Mrs. Joan Curry, to football field to practice old routines and yells and to learn new ones brought home from summer majorette and cheerleader schools. At the games, they help the team in putting on a show for friends and fans.
