611155 fllstary In September 1942 seven luttle boys and gurls who are now bug boys and gurls entered the old grammar school and began the furst grade Some of us brought our mothers along for moral support whule other luttle brave souls came alone Wuth Muss Glass as our unstructor we started a new phase of lufe The orugunal seven were Dorus Luta Thelma Barbara Horton Bullue Jane Joe and Charles Durung the year Joe Tum came to us from Calufornua When we agaun entered school the next September ut dud not look so formud able Durung our second year Joanne uouned our ranks Mrs Basul London was our teacher Muss Bates and Muss Cunnungham struggled through the thurd and fourth years wuth us lf we werent the meanest bunch un school Mrs Inman and Muss Mary wull eat theur hats and all the trummungs lust because we passed a few notes durung the flfth and suxth grades Bully Frank louned our ranks here We trued a luttle Spanush un the seventh grade unaer the durectuon of Mr and Mrs Eddue Foster ln the etghth grade we really thought we were bug We left the basement floor of hugh school and came upstaurs When we looked around and saw all the upperclassmen we dudnt feel so bug after all The eughth grade had sev eral contrubutuons Barbara Muller Sue Bobby and Harlow louned us Mrs Baker was our sponsor Durung our Freshman year we were offucually unutuated unto hugh school The gurls polushed tennus shoes for the Senuor basketball team untul they thought the world was whute The poor boys were run through the belt Iune Muss Conune was our sponsor We were really proud when we became Sophomores Now we were no longer called poor luttle Freshmen Mr Gruffutt was our sponsor Our Junuor year rolled around and we really got busy rausung money for the Jr Sr Banquet Maggue louned us at mudterm Our sponsors were Mrs Savage and Coach Duke The Senuors of 55 have now materualuzed lf we thought we were busy our Junuor year we were musunformed Theres quute a lot to thus busuness of grad uatung Our greatest thrull was when we receuved our class rungs We want to thank Muss Mackey and Mr Gruffutt for all the work they have put un un helpung us rause money for our Senior urup to Colorado Soon ut wull be May and we will be leavung L H S but there wull be many more actuvutues before we bud our funal good bye r-A .Q 0 , fav Q dkgs. .3 0 I , .
