Johes With grateful appreciation we, of the graduating class, respectfully dedicate our yearbook to Miss Jobes. Through our years here, she has been an unfailing source of deep understanding and thoughtful guidance. We wish to congratulate her on her appointment as Dean of Girls; already the girls of L. H. S. are familiar with her friendly influence. We would like to wish her happiness and suc- cess in the future. Our Principal Dwight S. Davis We, the class of 1951, wish to express our gratitude to our principal, Mr. Davis. ‘Patience in a man is a splendid virtue,”’ so the saying has it. Patience on the part of our principal has been a supporting factor in our completion of three happy, success- ful years at L. H.S. In sincere admiration we leave our best wishes with a man who has been our constant guide and good friend. ss Advisers Miss Katherine Dugan The graduating class of 1951 will always remember this director with gratitude for her interest and able co -operation. John Fi Magane We shall never forget our hard-working counselor, who willingly shouldered any problems with which we burdened him. oe siento Melee a ATES IEE i FACULTY First Row: Mrs. Miriam Bucknell, Everett C. Senior Prom at L. H.S. this year. COACHING STAFF Coach Charles Broderick and his assistants, Theodore Kucharski, Bill Small, substituting for Carmine Picucci, h did a great job keeping the football team in perfect condition. Through the efforts of these men, L. H. S. had another fine year in sports. William Small, and John Bigelow, headed the boys’ athletic department anded the boys’ physical education classes, and Dr. Charles A. Wheeler FOOTBALL In the fall of 1950, the main interest in Leominster was the football team. The Blue and White squad coached by Charlie Broderick, Ted Kucharski, Bill Small and Johnny Bigelow, had a good season. In all the games, Leominster fought hard against her opponents, some of whom were the best in the state. The team’s 1950 record may not be as out- standing as in other years, but the upset over Nashua High was the first ever made by a Leominster squad. Opponent St. Clements Nashua (N. H.)
