Our Principal ... Our school, like every other public high school, should aim to reflect at its very best the life of the community which supports it. MESSAGE For example, Leominster is a city whose people have their ancestral roots in many lands yet Leominster people act with a singleness of purpose in staging a Welcome Home Day, a Wonkka Scholarship Fund Drive, or a Hospital Day. In school, our teams, our classes and our clubs know no racial, no social, no religious divergencies. In all things that will make our school the best one in the state we are united. The depth of your devotion to L. H. S. will be measured by your continued interest in the school after you have been graduated. Right now we are working for a school building in which Leominster boys and girls may receive an even better education than you, its present graduates, have received. Each of you can help to build a Leominster Senior High School that will meet the needs of our city. The Class of 1947 has set many a high mark for succeeding classes. We look to you with confidence to further our plans for a building which will be a school by day and a community center by night. —D. S. D. Te aN di itt .

WILLIAM B. APPLETON Harvard—A. B. Superintendent of Schools moma to lL. H. 5. in. 1927, Mr. Appleton was principal for ten years. His intelligence, fellowship, abilities, interests, accomplishments, tolerance, and dignity earned him a promotion to superintendent of schools, the position he now holds. Through his fine work, he has proven himself more than worthy of his title. THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE One of the elements that distinctly govern our school life is the school committee. They have control of our studies, our school hours, and even our teachers; therefore they are the ones whom we have to thank for the thriving community which is our school. ' The members of our school com- mittee are: Claude Letarte. Herbert Green. Dr. I. W. Smith— Vice-Chairman Mayor Mathias Lapierre— Chairman William B. Appleton. Mrs. Alphonse Houde. Arthur Harrington. Dr. James V. McHugh.

Bee! mambo - aa THE INSTRUCTORS Our teachers are as much a part of our miniature com- munity as is the building itself. It is mostly through their efforts that we become good citizens, for they are not only educators, but counselors and friends when the need occurs. They are a fine group of teachers, and we will long remember and appreciate their trials and tribulations connected with the instruction of youth.
