Teachers Guide Students Mr. Richard Jasmer taught general science, health, and psychology sociology. He also coached girls' basketball and girls' track. Mrs. Lois Merkel taught the remedial reading classes for the grade school. She was replaced by Susan Ackerson during the second quarter. Mr. Jim Ochsner directed the junior high and high school choruses, as well as teaching grade school music. He also gave individual voice lessons and was Sophomore class advisor. Mrs. Nancy Scott taught Algebra I and II, and geometry. She was also the Sophomode class s ' advisor. Mrs. Lila Rau assisted the business manager and the grade school principal. Mr. Dale Waysman taught world history. United States history, and Ameri- can government. He was also coach for the football and boys track teams and advised the Freshman class. Faculty 13

Teachers Inspire Mrs. Gay Gallas served as the school librarian during the school year. She also helped advise the sophomore class. Mr. Loren Gill taught biology, micro-biology, and chemistry. He was also the senior class advisor. Mrs. Jean Guffey taught freshman English and speech therapy in the grade school. Mr. Michael Guffey di- rected the grade, junior high, and high school bands as well as giving individual lessons. He was the freshman class advisor. Mrs. Doris Hepperle taught Typing I, II, short- hand, and office practice. She advised FBLA and the senior class. Mr. Gary Hepperle in- structed the business math, accounting, and personal finance business law classes. Mack Leads Board Mr. Gordon Mack was chair- man of the school board this year. Under his direction, they established policies and made decisions on several issues brought before them. The cooks, janitors, and bus drivers did their part to keep the school running throughout the year by doing their re- spective jobs. UPPER RIGHT: Cooks were Jerilyn Heyd, Bonnie Gill, Clara Tschabbet, Lorna Ketterling, Deloris Bain, and Maggie Bendewald. ABOVE: Janitors for this year were Lloyd Bain and John Bendewald, School board members were, SEATED; Gordon Mack. STANDING; Richard Kolb, Clarence Rath, Harlan Krein, and Ron Bieber. ABOVE: Bus drivers for the school year were, Ernie Heyd, manager, Willis Kiesz, Gene Kindelspire, Howard Fewings, Milbert Albrecht, Art Fauth, and Clarence Grabowska.
