The members are elected for a term of one school year; the officers being elected in the spring by the student body and the representatives elected by their respective classes. THIRD ROW: Kindelspire, Crouch, Gilliland, Silver, Hoeft, Schanzenbach. The Leola Pirates had a successful season, winning twenty- three and losing only six games. They copped the North Central Conference Championship with eleven wins against one defeat. The Pirates also won the Conference Tournament and the District 5 Championship. They lost the first game of the Regional Tournament to a strong McLaughlin team 46 to 44 after holding a halftime lead of 28 to 18. The Pirates also dropped a 48 to 41 decision to a red hot Dupree team in the consolation finals to wind up the season for the Pirates.
