This Girls' Athletic Association under the supervision of Florence Kahnke, is designed to promote better business, social and athletic functions. An inter-class basketball tourney was held the latter part of the year, in which the Juniors emerged victorious. Volleyball, baseball, and tennis completed the athletic schedule. Jackson, Ag teacher, in Leola High School is made up of 27 boys. Highlights of the program are the annual judging trips to Brookings and the summer vacation trips. Finances for these were derived from candy and popcorn sales at basketball games, and the boxing program and various other projects held during the year.
