The 1937 Footboll Team was possibly the most outstanding in Pirate history. It emerged from another undefeated season with a record that over- shadows even that of the 1936 team Such an achievement deserves commendation, and rightly meriting it are: Allen Hilgemann, for his out- standing performance as captain; R. L. Byler, for his most efficient coaching, and the whole team, for its wonderful display of team spirit. The standard set by this team is indeed a worthy goal for the future teams of LHS.
