Footsteps Of Passing Time May 27, 1977 8:00-3:20 As I was walking out of the school, I felt as if a trememdous amount of weight had been lifted from my shoulders and pushed into my past. The relief of all the last tests taken, my courses being closed out- I breathed a deep sigh, and shut my now empty locker for the last time . Walking down the abandoned hallway I heard echos of my voice drowning in all the other voices and footsteps at passing time, I walked past miy favorite classrooms, where all my worrying and last minute cramming had taken place, passed the cafeteria and its debatable meals. I walked passed the concession stand and turned around to buy my last Marathon and imm.ediately felt guilty! I opened the East Lobby doors and smiled at the telephone, remembering all the money I lost in the past 6 years . Then as I walked out into the sunshine, I took another deep breath, turned around to look for one last symbolic time and stepped forward into miy future . i .
