SENIOR CLASS PLAY Q Q13 O ear' Q 71 lyl 'VNC N THE evening of March 21st the play A Case of Sprmgtlme was presented at the hlgh school gym na lum by the semor class It was met wlth a large audnence and vreat applause When Bob trled the sawlng a women ln half maglc trlck on the hlgh school prlnclpals daughter xt dldnt work' He dxdnt really hurt her but at FISH of curta1n Bobs alreadv ln plenty of trouble He trles to pretend that he s too slck to go to school untll thmgs blow over He phones the school prmclpal and talks llke hls Dad Bob cant come to school today Then he s forced to go on and lmltate the famlly doctor The boys got bronchlal compllcatlons Unseen by Bob hls parents are over hearlng all thls Bob IS forced to explam to h1s anxlous mother but hes so upset that hes almost glad to tell het There comes a t1me when a fellow needs a man to man talk wlth h1s mother It seems that h1s beautlful glrl lthe prlnclpal s daugh terl IS fallmg for a college man and Bob ln a great effort to prove how pollshed and suave he can be has tak en up maglC But then h1s blg trlck went wrong and hes practlcally suspected of attempted homlclde Mean while the k1d brother whlle demonstratmg hxs dynamlc muscle bulldmg lessons has torn the formal coat Bob borrowed from hls glrl to wear durmg hls maglc show land of course she got It from her father the prme1pal'l Joan comes by stlll mad to demand the coat back T hlde the damage Bob thrusts lt 1nto the laundry bag H doesnt know that the bag IS full of curtams to be dyed brlght yellow Theres a roar of laughter from the aud xence as the mald totes off the bag whxle the unaware Bob explams the delay by tellmg Joan how hes hav1ng the coat beautxfully cleaned the thmksl By the tlme Bob finds the real fate of that laundry bag 1ts too late and the outraged prmcxpal has dlscovered everythmg' The dye IS cast' By now Bobs family IQ begmnlng to get serlously XNOI'I'I0d Mother decldes to entertain the PTA ladles 1n hops that they mav mtercedc for her son Bob IS all set to proye how mlsunderstood he IS and that hes really a model boy but hls plan IS shattered Expectlng someone else entlrely Bobs mnocentlookmg kld brother has set up a whole SOFICS of home made booby traps fcontrlved out of such rellable Items as hot pads red pepper and electrlc fansl The PTA ladles IH a slde spllttlng scene walk rlght mto them and they KNOW lt s all Bobs fault Frantlcally angry they want to denounce hlm to the authorltles but that lsnt necessary The authorltles through a mlsunderstandmg are already out after Bob I must be llvmg under a curse' crles Bob but hes Bob IS on the top of the world forglven by the prmclpal safe from hls college rlval and all set w1th h1S glrl It s a Joyous and zestful comedy of youth The characters are as follows Dean Knodle Glenn Norton Mlldred Blvens Janet Walters Gene Hanson Bonme Roe Bob Parker who IS on the spot Mr Parker his father Mrs Parker his mother Betty Palkel his slster D1ck1e Parker the kid brother Gwen Anderson Dlckles flame Joan Abernaker the prmclpal s daughter Eddle her brother Louella the Parkers mald Mr Abernaker the hlgh school pr1nc1pal Jack Trost Mrs Brunswxck Paullne Knox Nlrs James of the P T A Floy Beck Nirs Hill Juanlta Ferguson Plalnclothes Man the law Dale Smlth NIISS Brlght from the zoo Peggy Ford Katherine Buxton Dale Purdum Bonme Bell McFee LENOX HIGH SCHOOL O O , 3 45 3 s 5'-'jf .
