Rhodes Woolly and a few friends enjoy the Hoffbrauhaus in Munich. Summertime finds Len- oir-Rhyne at work and at play both at home and abroad. Students take ad- vantage of the opportunity to go aboard each summer. Many choose to study at a foreign university for which they receive credit through the Foreign Lan- guage Department. The summer of 1987 found stu- dents studying in various European cities such as Paris. Nice and Vienna. Studies abroad are highly encouraged for language majors — not simply to en- hance the ability to speak fluently, but also to gain insight into a different culture. On the lighter side, many choose to v.ication in Europe traveling from country to country. This summer a tour was organized and headed by Professor Thorn Thies that visited various cities throughout Europe. Quite a few students took advantage of the chance to see Europe in a short period of time. Tracking Around The World Having endured the centuries, the Parthenon is still a fascinating sight for many. 1- 14 Campus Life Summer Of ' 87

The Last Graduation 1987 Shirley Taylor proudly moves from student to alumni status. ml A We have shared so many memories over the past years. Graduation is a time of happiness as well as sad- ness. In a way, we have be- come a family. Some of us will never see each other again, but we will always have the memories of laughter, tears, and espe- cially the friendships made at Lenoii ' -Rhyne. We now realize how quickly this time together goes by and, with the help of each oth- er, we have become stron- ger through these years.
