DEDICATION His house is full of gifts that his choir has given him. They are symbolic of their appreciation for not only his musical ability, but his art of establishing pride and accomplishment, through music, in students from nearly every sector of the college. He is the chairman of one of the smaller departments at Lenoir- Rhyne, but one whose success is vital for a quality liberal arts institution. Lenoir-Rhyne is not new this man. A native of Newton, he graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in 1963 and joined the college faculty in 1966. Few people realize how many hours outside the class Professor Ray McNeely gives to Lenoir-Rhyne. He is a goodwill ambassador, well-known throughout the state, with a faithful following of music lovers. Most recently, he took the choir to Florida on their spring tour. In the summer of 1986, Professor McNeely bravely led the choir to Europe. Unfortunately, few students, overall, have the opportunity to experience this director, leader, and friend. Nevertheless, the senior class recognizes and applauds the achievements of this man. He has taught Lenoir-Rhyne how to sing, and we look forward to his future gifts of music. With this, the senior class dedicates the 1987 H AC AW A to Professor Ray NcNeely. Dedication 3
