PROLOGUE . . . A TEP PDRWARO Freshmen students encounter many new names, new faces, and new beginnings as they enter the world of college life. To make them feel more at home, Lenoir-Rhyne offers an orienta- tion program at the beginning of the school year called Prologue. Prologue gives the students a chance to meet new friends and to get to know the campus better. The Prologue leaders are upperclass students who are interest- ed in the needs of their fellow students. They serve as guides and friends to the new freshmen. Some of the activities that were included in this year ' s Pro- logue consisted of: a movie, a dance, a scavenger hunt, a pizza party, a band concert, a beauty contest, a reception at President Trainer ' s house, and a trip to the ropes course. Mike Shakleford and Marty Blocker were student coordinators for this year ' s Prologue, and thirty-three upperclass students served as leaders. Live on stage — Dean Ed Lewis entertains students during a skit. This takes skill — These freshmen students seem to be getting off to a well-balanced start on the balance beam. 22 Student Life
