CATCH THE FEVER! SPRING FUNG ' 85 Centurion rocked LR into late afternoon. Meanwhile, enthusiastic fans relaxed, sipped on drinks and basked in the sun. Shouts of laughter echoed from the sta- dium as the campus sprang to life during Spring Fling ' 85. The afternoon began with the sound of the top 40 band STA Express. Later the pace quickened as Centurion shattered the air with its own brand of heavy metal. Amidst the frisbees and footballs, there was a me- lange of festivities. For the sun-worship- ers the day was a golden opportunity to show off that season tan; others took a much needed break from the books and enjoyed a little rest and relaxation. By late afternoon everyone was hungry and enjoyed a cookout on the Cromer Center lawn. The day ended as everyone lounged around on the lawn and relaxed while Gaston provided the evening ' s enter- tainment. As the sun began to set and the crowd dispersed, the spirit of Spring Fling ' 85 still lingered in the air of our campus. Hugs and smiles filled the football field and stadium. Seated here is Chuck Auten, Penny Manlove. and Chuck Bussey. Flying high, with a little help from her friends, Laura LIttrell springs Into the air. Steaming bodies lay on a mirage of blankets as our season ' s tans got started. For many this was the first day to break out the old bathing suits. 16 Student Life
