Signs are a valuable part of our lives. They point direction, give additional information, and in- fluence our decisions. But there are other signs around us. Signs that are often not as ob- vious as the ones we have just referred to. These are the signs of our very life — our culture, our civilization, our national ex- i istence. For just as a mileage-sign indicates distance, so do all those signs about us at Lenoir-Rhyne indicate what we are, where we are, and perhaps, to some extent, where we are going. They are the signs of our times. This Introduction is devoted to a portrayal of those signs — a photographic review of those places, those people, and those events that have been a part of our times. i - xs0gtS y-- There are no signs more evident to us than those buildings and physical symbols that make-up the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne College. The seasons play-out their full drama here.
