The baccalaureate service was conducted at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend George R. Whittecar (above left). Presi- dent of the North Carolina Synod of the Lutheran Church in America, speaking on the subject, Reaching for the Highest. The LR choir sang under the direction of E. Ray McNeely, Jr., with Nancy Weissenberg as soloist. Les Sigman and Tim Phillips played trumpet to accompany Larry Lowder at the organ. Formal commencement exercises began at 3:30 p.m. with the march into the auditorium, led by faculty marshal Dr. William Shuford (fibove top). Mr. David Lawrence (op- posite bottom left), executive editor of The Charlotte Ob- server spoke to the graduating class of 1978. Honorary degrees were awarded Rufus Dalton, Edgar Trex- ler, Jr., and Charles Tuttle. First honor graduate of the class was Carol Smith (opposite bottom right), a nursing major. 34 35 kjiSf di ui. ' k , ! New Breed Arrives Bringing with them everything but the kitchen sink, the Class of 1982 made their entrance onto the campus on Fri- day, August 25. Excitement was definitely in the air as freshmen made preparations for embarking on a new ad- venture in their lives. With the largest number of resident freshmen in recent L-R history, temporary housing was found for many new students. Third floor Highland Hall was used for upperclasswomen overflow while Beta House and Morgan lounges handled the extra freshmen. Despite the housing difficulties, spirit was running high as Prologue began. Left, Susan Buhrows looks back one more time to see how many more trips up three flights of stairs will be needed to help move this freshman in. Below left, new resi- dent director, Jerry Shaw, explains one more time how to fill out the numerous forms required before moving into a dorm room. Refreshments were the highlight of the day for many weary parents who gratefully accepted the hospitality of the alumni below. Opposite page top left. Due to the heat of the weekend, many Prologue activities were held outdoors in the hopes of shade from a tree. Top right. Students enjoyed the now traditional bus tour of Hickory which ends in the passing out of coupons, free gifts, and a T-shirt. Under the leadership of Mike Imboden, 1978 Prologue teamed upper- classmen with faculty members as co-leaders with groups of 10-15 freshmen or transfers. A new twist to Prologue this year was the addition of special activities designed for the transfers which included a casino party. Prologue offers new students a chance to meet each other, get acclaimated to L-R ' s campus, and get settled in before the rush of classes begins. The weekend included a concert with Mike Williams and Razzmatazz , a Country Bear Parade, a Big Bear Victory over Carson-Newman, the crowning of a new queen, a Victory Jamboree with the jam of Eastern Seaboard plus the joy of having parents and alumni here to share our Country Bear Weekend with us. He cited that people should be skeptical of the judicial process, although he gave his full support to the preserva- tion of the jury system, citing it as one of the most impor- tant parts of the judicial system. A practicing lawyer for 34 years, Kunstler was involved in the trial of the Chicago 7, as well as various civil rights cases in the 1960 ' s and early ' 70 ' s. President Opened Year Lenoir-Rhyne College president, Dr. Albert Anderson, of- ficially opened the 88th academic year with the annual President ' s Convocation on September 4. The theme of his remarks was the strangeness of a college. Dr. Anderson explained that it is not a home away from home or a microcosm of the real world either, but rather that a college is a place of vision both past and future. Its purpose being to give one the makings of a well educated character. Bypassing the traditional hymn and the Alma Mater, the service included scripture reading and a prayer by college chaplain Larry Yoder. •wmm mtmsms mrp . ■■r-: JS , .- i.: 46 ABC ' S Howard Smith Visited Lenoir-Rhyne; Prominent Clergyman Lectured on Secular Society Howard K. Nehaus, a leading ad- vocate of social change in America, came to campus in November. Editor of a monthly journal dealing with ethics and social change, Reverend Nehaus spoke on The Struggle for Democratic Pluralism. 47 Students, Candidates Mingled At Election-Central The lobby of the Cromer Center was transferred into Elec- tion Central headquarters on election night in early November, as results began to pour-in over the numerous television sets in the Center (see below). Candidates for various offices made appearances during the evening, including LR ' s own political science prof. Dr. James Icenhour (shown above left with Ron Wilkens), who , was a candidate for the State House. Commentary was made during the evening by several ob- servers of the political-scene, including Dr. Grant Ham- mond (above right). 48 Speakers Highlighted Career Awareness Day The speakers at Lenoir-Rhyne College ' s Career Awareness Day convocation in November knew what they were talking about. The three keynoters — Cecile Bost (below) of Newton, the Reverend Paul Conrad (top left) of Winston-Salem and Harry Holtzer (top right) of Lenoir — made presentations as apart of a campus-wide emphasis on career discussions. Mrs. Bost was a correspondent for WBTV news in Charlotte, Reverend Conrad was pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Epiphany (Winston-Salem) and a 1953 LR graduate, and Mr. Holtzer was retired chairman of the 3M Company and a member of the LR development board. 49 Chapel Moved To Center Wednesday morning chapel services were moved to the Cromer Center this year. The move was designed to make chapel more of a regular, familiar ac- tivity and not segregated from the rest of life. The services were led by Chaplain Yoder, students, and visiting Pastors-in-Residence. Cheer- ful and contemporary, the services are non-denominational in nature and are meant to be chances for the entire community to gather together in worship. Left and below right, Chris Shogren leads the service as she and the other Fools for Christ bring a new dimension to traditional worship. Below left. Designed to give the L-R community a chance to ex- change ideas, many proved to be very exciting indeed. Right, Coach Jack Huss was put on the firing line to ex- plain the ' 78 football team ' s slump. Urging everyone to get behind the Bears, Coach Huss promised better things in upcoming games. Perhaps one of the biggest drawing cards for the forums were the Playmakers. Whether previewing Tartufife or a one act play, as below, the Cromer Center was always packed. Explain- ing his conceptions about engage- ment . Dr. Arthur Puotinen, new Academic Dean, opposite page top, took the forum spot late first semester. Amusing the crowd with anecdotes about his background, Dr. Puotinen outlined his plan for the future at Lenoir-Rhyne. The core curriculum was an ongoing debate all year on campus. Dr. James Slauin, opposite page below, took advantage of the Friday Forum slot to sh are his views about the core. All in all, Forums proved to be an informative, entertaining way to spend Friday mornings. 68 69 Rudisill Library — Campus Center of Learning The Carl Rudisill Library is the cen- ter of learning on the Lenoir-Rhyne campus. It has a full-time staff of 10 and uses 36 student assistants. The library collection numbers 98,000 volumes with an average monthly cir- culation of 1300 to 1500 volumes. The library subscribes to 700 periodicals, has 250 titles on microfilm, and 40 ti- tles on microfiche. Each year the library conducts an in- troduction to its facilities for freshmen and during the spring term invites them back for an introduction to the research tools available in the library. A recent addition to the library ' s services is a media-collection to strengthen the remedial English program at LR. Jefferson Pilot Gift to Gear LR For TV With the help of the Jefferson-Pilot Foundation of Charlotte, LR is gear- ing up for work in television produc- tion. A $25,000 contribution from Jefferson-Pilot has enabled the college to purchase the equipment necessary for video work. Dr. Robin Gatwood, director of educational communications and technology at LR, now has two color portable cameras, portable and studio tape decks, a video cassette ' player, two video monitors, a camera switcher, studio lighting equipment, and a modulator to feed its signal into cable TV. 70 ' ' Dartmouth ModeV Enhanced Language Program With the help of a grant from the Ex- xon Foundation, Lenoir-Rhyne became one of fewer than 20 colleges in the nation to implement the Dartmouth Model into its program of foreign language instruction. The model features increased contact hours, the use of students as assistant teachers, the integration of laboratory work with course objectives and the creation of a positive linguistic atmosphere. French instructors Bohdan Kuropas and Augustine Quillici (left) served as master teachers of the program in its first year, and now the method has been extended to include the teaching of Spanish and German. Lineberger Center to Improve Core Curriculum Plans were unveiled this year for the Lineberger Cen- ter for Cultural and Educational Renewal, a program made possible by an endowment from the Lineberger Foundation of Belmont. The Center will promote values-oriented education at Lenoir-Rhyne and extend such general education to the public, seeking to renew the foundations of culture through the education of students and others who are similarly concerned. Dr. Grant Hammond, who heads the Center (at right) noted that a high priority will be to improve the quality and effectiveness of LR ' s core curriculum. 71 ART ARTSARTSARTSARTS •rr ' r Sk Bv 1 ■I M ' IH I mm C 5 SIHVSXUV SXHVSXHV 72 ' Vlass Menagerie ' ' Ended 78 Drama Year Tennessee Williams ' beautiful and moving memory-play, The Glass Menagerie, was the final LR Playmaker production for the 1977-78 season. Performed in arena to large audiences, the cast featured Lori Wolford (see opposite page) as Laura; Julia Clore (left) as Amanda, the mother; Harold Rowe (below left) as Tom, the brother; and Brian Bishop (below right) as Jim, the gentleman- caller. Dr. Marion Love was in charge of direction, costume design was by Suzanne Jeffers, Courtland Raby, Jr. designed the set and lighting, and Leigh Derwin was stage manager. 75 Summer Arts Festival ' ' Well Received A summer arts festival, which featured drama, ballet, film, and music, was held at Lenoir-Rhyne College between July 28 and August 5, 1978. Large audiences which attended all events were high in their praise of the quality of the festival. The Summer Theatre presented the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, The Subject Was Roses, by Frank Gilroy. Under the direction of Dr. Ellis Boatmon, the cast featured Bill Anderson, Pamela Whitener, and Ben Rawls (shown below). The Elaine Mauney Ballet Company offered The Seasons by Glazanov. Shown on the opposite page, below, is Mrs. Mauney with Amy Broome, Cindy Foster, Kelly Ritch, and Kelly Wooten. One of the highlights of the festival was the appearance of the talented Arioso String Quartet. Shown on the opposite page, above, is John Pruett, violinist. 76 77 Playmakers Toured With Season ' s Opener The Playmakers began their 1978-79 season with Robert Bolt ' s epic story of a conscience-in-struggle, A Man For All Seasons. And for the first time in many years the college drama troupe carried the production on tour. With all four performances being given within church- walls, the November 5 opener was at St. John ' s Lutheran Church (Salisbury), on November 12 the Playmakers were at Augusburg Lutheran Church (Winston-Salem), on November 19 they performed at Hickory ' s Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and the final performance was at the campus church, St. Andrew ' s Lutheran. Miller (Duke of Norfolk), Hal Rowe (Archbishop Thomas Cranmer), Harold Bass (Signor Chapuys), andDebbi Stot- tlemeyer (Woman). LR Humanities Division chairman, Dr. Michael McDaniel, played Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, Andy Ripley (see op- posite, top left) was Thomas Cromwell; Brenda Greenlease was Alice More; Annette Tiegland (see opposite, bottom center) enacted the role of More ' s daughter, Margaret; and Harold Jordan (see opposite, bottom right) was William Roper. The entire production was under the direction of Theatre Arts chairman Dr. Marion Love. Costuming was by Suzanne Jeffers, lighting by Courtland Raby, Jr., and Lori Wolford served as assistant director and stage manager. Bolt ' s moving story of Sir Thomas More, chancellor to King Henry VIII, was a fitting vechicle for the talent of Lenoir- Rhyne ' s artist-in-residence, George K. Hansen, Jr. Hansen, a veteran of LR summer theatre shows, portrayed More with sensitivity and poise. The king was well played by theatre arts major David Lewis. The two are pictured below. Others in the very talented cast included Johnny McNeill (Common Man), Fred Meuter III (Richard Rich), Michael ■•;?: l i4i w ) ... I believe, when statesmen forsake their own private con- science for the sake of their public duties . . . they lead their country by a short route to chaos. 79 Tartuffe Was Polished Tale of Faked Piety Tartuffe, Moliere ' s witty and biting satire on religious hypocrisy, was presented by the LR Playmakers in an arena production. The two-act drama was directed by Suzanne Jeffers, with stage and light design by Cortland Raby, Jr., and costume design by Brenda Greenlease. Willie Bacote served as assis- tant director and stage manager. The talented cast was headed by Fred Meuter (opposite top left) in the titled role, and featured Harold Rowe, Kathy Byerly, Michael Miller, Paul Gossman (opposite below), David Lewis, and William Stanley. Also, Rebecca Hoyle, Sylvia Burton (opposite below), Liza Buckner (opposite top right). Say Sink, Roy Whitfield, and Wayne Gossman. ' y ' ' f f ' P- LRC Choir Performed At LCA Installation A long weekend trip to New York City climaxed the 1978 Choir season. Invited to sing at the installation service of Dr. James Crumley as President of the Lutheran Church of America, the choir spent many long hours preparing for the prestigious honor. When at last the practice was over, it was time to put it to the test. The choir left December 1 for an adventure that won ' t soon be forgotten. Many visiting the Big Apple for the first time, the choir had time off to ex- plore on their own Saturday and Sunday night. Activities ranged from early Christmas shopping, taking in a Broadway show, to just plain sightseeing. But the big event was yet to come. At Riverside Lutheran Church on Decem- ber 3, 1978, the Lenoir-Rhyne College Choir gave a beautiful performance under the direction of Mr. Ray McNeely to commemorate the installation of Dr. Crumley. By late Monday night the Choir was back in Hickory with the trip behind them but the memories will last forever. This im- provement came not only in performance, but in management as well, for Head Coach Billy Alton seemed to have the entire program moving in the right direction. Lenoir-Rhyne began its season against baseball powers such as the University of South Carolina and Indiana State University, where the Bears made a respectable showing. Then followed a spring- break tour of Florida which allowed the team to concentrate on the fundamentals of the game. Afterwards, L-R seemed greatly improved and were in conten- tion for a district playoff berth until the last day of the season. The Bears got outstanding performances from many players, including All-State catcher Joel Fender and hard-hitting Darrell Jones — who were chosen co-most valuable players of the team. Although Jones graduated. Fender returned to lead a strong field of players for Lenoir-Rhyne. Hopefully, the returning players would continue the im- provement begun by the 1978 squad. j y 4fi ■ ■ 90 SjVf :..-.«! : : ' ; Opposite, top: Coach Billy Alton shouts en- couragement from the third base coaching box. Transfers Lew Semones and Blaine Bur- ton helped bolster the line-up with freshmen Skip Warwick and Bobby Mauney contributing greatly. Bobby Stevens, the only returning letterman, and Steve Crittenden filled out the rest of the top-six with Allan Dukes rounding out the line-up. Claude Brewer served as men ' s tennis coach. Highlight wins of the season included matches over Warren Wilson and Catawba colleges. 97 Women ' s Tennis ' ' Maturing ' ' At Lenoir-Rhyne Women ' s tennis at Lenoir-Rhyne has been maturing, according to head coach Pat Smith. Moving from division III to the much-larger division II of the NCAIAW, the Lady Bears now could compete on a state, regional, and national level. With maturity and experience, the 1978 squad featured all freshmen and sophomores and gave every reason to expect big things in the future. One of the finest moments for Bear golfers came at the Elon Invitational Tournament in Burlington on April 1-2, 1978, where on the second day of play, L-R shot a 386-total, which bested scores of Duke and Virginia Tech. Good performances were also registered from Monte Broome and Ned Parrish in the field events. Bears, Under Fire All Season, Posted 6-5 Record The Lenoir-Rhyne College Bears, coached for the fifth year by Jack Huss, were under fire all season — the pressure largely a result of three games lost in succession. And yet the team finished in third place in the SACS Conference, and with a tally of six wins and five losses, which was an improvement over the two previous years. The Bears began their ' 78 schedule with four road trips. Johnson C. Smith fell 26-13 with some ease, but then came three bitter, consecutive losses: 17-0 to Wo f ford, 14-7 to Presbyterian, and 26-6 to Newberry. At times the offense had appeared sluggish and unable to jell within the twenty- yard line. When the Bears arrived at home for the game with Gardner- Webb there were rumblings of discontent among some LR fans. But, the Bears settled down to play some excellent ball, much of it as a result of renewed confidence in them- selves, stemming from a change by Coach Huss in the offen- sive formation. LR, hungry for revenge against the Dogs, whipped GW, 28-7. In the next game against a much- improved Appalachian, the Bears lost, 49-28, but LR had led at halftime and many detected a fresh spirit within the Bears. That spirit now came to the forefront. Mars Hill was beaten, 38-26; Libery Baptist fell, 28-16; and a Homecom- ing crowd was treated to a 35-28 defeat of Carson-Newman. In fact, the Bears had won five games when nationally- ranked Elon came to Hickory. Lenoir-Rhyne would play one of its finest games of the year, losing 21-20 in the final nineteen seconds on an Elon field goal. In the final game with Catawba, the Bears looked most impressive as they whipped the Indians, 24-13. Rick Mashburn, LR ' s freshman punter, would be ranked sixth in the nation among NAIA punters at season ' s end; four Bears — Rusty Wall, Ned Parrish, Rick Mashburn, and Don Strayhorn — would be chosen to the All-District 26 Team; and Ronnie Deal and Rick Mashburn would receive All-SAC 8 recognition. ' ' Much Improved ' ' Soccer Bears Look To Future You might think that a team that ended its season at 0-7-2 would be hard-pressed to be optimistic, but well might the Bears of Lenoir- Rhyne look for good things next season in soccer. The 1978 club had a new coach — David Scott — and a will to win. Their playing technique was much improved, their discipline was strong, and their physical conditioning was a plus in their favor. No team ran over them and although they posted no wins, their ties with Greensboro and Wofford were impressive. Goalie Stan Baranowski was a consistently good player. The season ' s last game with Winthrop was a particularly good game for Baranowski, as he collected 17 saves. Mark Principe (see opposite page) was the leading scorer, joined by Tom Geocaris and Rusty Folds. Good play was also given by Bill Wood, Jeff Haste, Hunter Huss, Pat Linville, and Clyde Ellis. L-R Volleyball Team Proved Outstanding ' ' The 1978-79 Lady Bears volleyball team proved themselves in great style by taking a 31-13 record into the AIAW Southern Regionals. After a slow start of 6-6, the Lady Bears went on to show their strength in a winning streak of 14 straight matches. Once they started rolling they could not stop. Taking a record of 29- 11 and the fourth-spot into the NCALAW State Volleyball Tournament, Lenoir-Rhyne placed second in the state. Among their victories, LR ' s Lady Bears claimed wins over Pembroke State, Appalachian, Elon, and Guilford. All this was accomplished through hard work, the excellent guidance of Coach Pat Smith, and the strong leadership of Sally Reid, who was selected to the all-state team. Goodman has, for 25 years, been the team physician for the Lenoir-Rhyne College athletic department. A native of Bristol, Tenn., Dr. Good- man attended LR and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School. He served in the air force in both World War II and in Korea. In the fall of 1953, Dr. Goodman began his association with the Bears — one that has carried him to vir- tually every football game played since that date, including a trip to Tampa, Fla., in 1960 when LR won the national title. Dr. Goodman is shown in the picture below with Athletic Director Hanley Painter receiving a ring from the 1960 squad. As team doctor, he is responsible for medical exams at the beginning of the season, deals with practice injuries, and is on hand during all games on the sidelines if needed. Dr. Goodman also helps other athletes as well as football players. We salute Dr. B. W. Goodman on 25 years of service to the athletic program and to the college. In Appreciation: Dr. B, W. Goodman 122 123 Young Bears Surprised Critics Coach Neil Hodges, in his first year as head basketball mentor, faced quite a challenge in the 1978-79 men ' s basketball season. Gone were the five senior starters who led the Bears to national prominence in the previous season. In fact, only two players from that entire team — forwards Mitch Anderson and Mark Moore — would figure in the plans for the new year ' s campaigns. However, despite popular predictions to the contrary, the young Bears surprised the critics by jelling quickly as a team and maintaining a winning record throughout most of their grueling schedule. Highlights of the season included an upset of powerful High Point in a Shuford Gym thriller, and two victories over archrival Elon. With the team composed almost entirely of transfers and freshmen, the future for LR basketball looked bright. Consider- ing the maturity gained by the players during this rebuilding year, the team could be just one year away from another rise to national ranking. Led by junior center Sally Reid, who was complemented by the addition of freshmen Brenda Hairston and Donna Elrod, the squad overcame what might be considered a slow start to firmly establish themselves as one of the best in North Carolina. One of the major highlights of the season was the Virginia Tech Invitational Tournament championship which the girls won in an awesome manner. Other highlights included victories over UNC-Charlotte and Gardner-Webb, with the team scoring over 100 points against the archrival ' Dogs. A greek may be a beauty, a swinger, a leader, or just another contestant seeking his role in this role. But more than that he is one who has found the involvement and caring that comes through responsibility to something more than yourself. THE SPIRIT WITHIN, blinding and charged with enthusiasm exemplifies the Greek man and woman at Lenoir Rhyne College. 161 Delta Zeta 00 0© © K. Amesen G. Earnhardt J. Beam L. Blowers C. Brendle S. Williams 169 Greek Awards, 1978 The Greeks of Lenoir-Rhyne College held their twelfth an- nual Awards ceremony on May 15, 1978, in the dining area of the Cromer Center. A large crowd gathered and excitement filled the air as the emphasis was placed on the achievement and excellence of the members of LR ' s eight Greek-letter groups. Dr. Ellis Boatmon, founder of the Greek Awards in 1966, was master of ceremonies. Gail Wise, president of Pan- hellenic Council, and Steve McLendon, president of IFC, brought greetings. The National Anthem was sung by SPE Philip Stovall and Mike Riley offered the invocation. Sigma Kappa sorority began the evening with a beautiful medley of songs entitled Love is ... and at mid-point of the program a Theta Chi group sang a collection of bar- bershop ballads. Ken Teh served as pianist. Among the numerous recipients during the evening were: this page top left: Kathy Lyerly (1) and Chris Penna, sophomore Greeks; middle: David Adams (1), 1977 Man of the Year, presents the award to Terrell Stephens, Tau Kappa Epsilon, the 1978 winner; bottom left: Bobby Mauney (1) and Gwynn Barnhardt, Leadership Gavel recipients; Below: Anne Cline, Zeta Tau Alpha, Woman of the Year for 1978. But, as Jim Croce said, There never seems to be enough time to do the things you want to do . . . Deadlines came too quickly and the book had to be sent to Delmar. What resulted is still a book I am very proud of. I have tried to capture the year in words, feelings, and actions. Enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed working on it. To say thank you to my staff hardly seems enough. They have worked diligently and not always under the best of conditions. To each and everyone of them goes my deep ap- preciation. Several people I am even more indebted to. The ' 79 HACAWA has benefitted extremely from the hard work of Bill Mayberry, 1978 editor, who headed the sports sec- tion, David Pruett who headed the Greek section, and es- pecially to Gail Pruett, who did anything and everything that was needed to be done. Their creative handiwork is seen throughout the book. I also want to extend my ap- preciation to Dr. Ellis Boatmon who worked with us so closely. The book could never have been printed if it had not been for these dedicated people. Since a yearbook is largely pictorial, Robert Arey, our direc- tor of photography, deserves much credit for the ' 79 year- book. Most of the pictures in this book are from his lens. He often worked under trying circumstances both photographing and in the lab to see that we got the pictures we needed. We are most grateful for Robert ' s aid. Other LR photographers who assisted us were John Love, Ralph Clark, Grace Chin, Steve Semmler, Cortland Raby, Jr., and we also used pictures from our files by Frank Aull, Ford Weicht, Frank Miller, Bill Davis, and Bruce Sheeks. We are very much indebted to the good folks at the Hickory News. Charles Deal, editor of the NEWS, was most gracious in helping us with photos, and our sports and theatre sections are richer because of his assistance. Dave Dieter photographed many of the excellent shots we used from the News files. At the Hickory Daily Record, we acknowledge the generous aid of Sports Editor Dan Richards, who helped us with our sports pages. Record photographers who con- tributed to the HACA WA were Dick Bell, Robert Reed, and Bob Lupinek. Also, we very much appreciate the assistance given us by RECORD staff members Judy Reif and Doris Clontz. At LR, we are grateful for the help afforded us by Business Manager Harry Livengood, Miss Iris Moore, Publicity Director John Hall, Athletic Director Hanley Painter, Head Football Coach Jack Huss, Women ' s Sports Coach Pat Smith, Cromer Center Director Mrs. Estelle Marlowe, Miss Emily Ripley, Lenoir-Rhynean Editor Miss Kathy Lyerly, Presidential Assistant Jeff Norris, Director of Learning Resources Curtis PaUl, Dr. Marion Love, and Dr. Bohdan Kuropas. We appreciate the help given us by Formal Wear Rentals of Hickory, Mrs. B. W. Goodman, Leon Lewis, Mrs. Gloria Smith, and Mrs. Dorothy Flowe. Class pictures were photographed by Smith Studio of Raleigh, color lab was done by Kelly Color of Morganton, and publication was by Delmar Company of Charlotte.
