PRESIDENT ' S MESSAGE Central and paiamount in the hustle and bustle of the crowded schedule of campus life must be the search for truth, if a college really deser ' es the name. The quest engaging us here is for the truth of fact: ever in estigating to accumulate information about all that can be known of man and this universe he inhabits. Our knowledge of the facts helps free us from the bond- age of ignorance. The quest is also for the truth of alue: testing, com- paring, and reflecting to choose causes and rewards with genuine and superior value. How precious the ability to distinguish between trash and treasure. The quest is supremely for the truth of faith: revering the Author of all the knowledge man has, and has yet to acquire, determining sound alues according to One of supreme worth, entrusting life ' s eternal destiny to Him whose dominion transcends the walls of time and space. Lenoir Rhyne seeks to unite us here and always in commitment to that totality of truth which embraces fact, alue, and faith— the truth that makes men free. [13]
