The four local winners who at- tended the district contest at Canton, and secured this honor for the school were: Phyllis Larson, who received a superior rating in the poetry divisiong Orvin Pluclcer who ranked sup- erior in oratoryg Phyllis Simon who received an 28 excellent rating in dramaticsg and Helen Drake who rated a good in the humorous division. Orvin Plucker and Phyllis Larson then par- ticipated in the regional contest held at Elk Point on December 8, receiving excellent and good respectively. Miss Nichol, Miss Wahl, and Mr. Sletvold were the declamatory coaches. a
