LenKot1 The VOICC of the Students The VOICE of the student assoc1at1on of Len nox H1gh IS expressed through the channel of an elected group of students funct1on1ng as a Student Counc1l Th1s delegat1on IS g1ven the r1ght to mfluence the control of student affalrs The Student Counc1l IS an elected body con s1st1ng of a pres1dent VICE presldent secretary treasurer and a representatlve from each class Elect1on of ofhcers IS held the second week after the start of the second semester These offxcers contmue 1n the1r OH:1C13l capac1ty for one full year The four sen1or olhcers serv1ng the first semester of th1s year were Orv1n Pluclcer PFESI dent who prev1ously had served as v1ce pres1 dent VIVIHH Hofer VICC presldent Dorothy Drake secretary and George Carver treasurer Those talcmg ofhce at the begmnmg of the second semester were Paul Olson pres1dent Larson secretary and Soph1e Beeners treasur er The class representat1ves are Delores I-I1ll man sen1or Delores IS serv1ng her class for the second term Paul Olson the newly elected presldent IS also serv1ng as a representat1ve for the jumor class Robert Hurley IS the sophomore representat1ve and Ardys Wumkes represents the freshman class The Student Counc1l meets once a month to plan the forthcommg student assoc1at1on meet 1ngs and the all school soc1al events The Watermellon Bust held 1n the local park the first Fr1day after the openmg of school 1n the fall IS the 1n1t1al soc1al event on the calendar sponsored by the Student Councll The purpose of th1s event IS to mtroduce the underclassmen and new upperclassmen to our school hfe 1n an mformal manner The second all school soc1al HCIIVICY put on by the Student Councll IS the Chnstmas Party held on the afternoon before school closes for Chr1stmas vacatlon Th1s year the major enterpr1se undertaken by the Student Assoc1at1on was the pubhshmg of dent Counc1l comb1ned 1n putt1ng on LenKota Day and an all school party on May 15th As a final round up of the year s all school events the Councll had charge of plans and arrange ments for the all school PICUIC held the last day of school 8 Standmg Paul Olson Orv1n Pluclcer Seated Evelyn Tellmghwsen Phylhs Larson Soplne Beeners Robert Hurley Ardys Wum lces V1v1an Hofer Dorothy Drake George Carver Delores Hlllman f Q Q Q ' G ' ee as - D . . . . . , , 5 7 ' .
